@@xRenegade_999 30K downpayment, 750 credit score. My advice is if you don't have the entire lump sum, don't buy it. The insurance and monthly payment will be a lot unless you're making high six figures (I make low six figures).

“Shiny” leather is your body oils. You should regularly clean and condition leather seats. Sonax is a good brand to use

Thank you! I will have to check and see…since I did the big turbo I haven’t been checking because I’ve been driving harder. Before that I was able to get close to 30-32mpg in normal mode 8th gear just highway cruising at 1600rpm. It sips fuel.

18-20 city (sport mode) and 20-24 (normal). I get about 32-36mpg on the hwy. it’s a great platform. The Z gets horrible mpg. 😂

ty for the honest review, i have a 2015 WRX on flex fuel and although it hasn't given me any issues, i know the FA20 isn't the most reliable engine. Also, do you need a retune for every single upgrade you do?

I had 50k miles on my 2021 Supra before I sold it. I never had a single issue with it. I bought a GR86 and already have 24k miles on this car now lol.

@@LateNightDateNight 86 by far. The Supra was cool. The 86 is fun. The Supra is still a great car, would love to own both if I could but would chose the 86 over it honestly. No regrets making the switch.

@@TheRandyns if you’re more of a driver than get an 86. If you’re more into straight line power and wanting an eye catching car then get a Supra. That’s my advice. The 86 is for the enjoyment of driving and the Supra is a jack of all trades master of none kinda car that is just nice to have. Don’t get me wrong, the Supra is still a cool car, just comes down to what you like. It also cost twice as much as the 86.

@@nickchaconas Coming from a G37 IPL, so I have faint love for the new Z. Really good to know that the Supra is incredibly mod friendly and still reliable! Plus looks wise the Supra wins and exhaust wise as well. Not a big fan of the exhaust sound from the 3.0T in the Z.

to your final comments,and a great review...it isnt a crime to own a nice car regardless of where you vacate too,if youre NOT doing anything wrong,and the "cops" dont like it,they can hold it in their ass frankly,and resign to other employment,because on the flip side,"cops" can not target ppl/civillians either,goes both ways,dont hide that car be proud of that car.

Appreciate this video but I feel like it really doesn't justify anything. As soon as I heard "16,000 miles"...? That's still a brand new car. The car isn't that old but people should make reliability videos of 30-50K+ miles, that's when these BMWs start to show their true colors.

If the ecu has a pre 6/20 build date than it can be unlocked. If not then it has to be cloned

Not exactly, the 2021-2022 ECU’s can be shipped overseas and be cloned to another ECU that then can be unlocked. So you have to source an older unlockable ECU and copy and paste data from the new ECU over. It’s not as straight forward as the 2020/ early 2021 ECUs. Also more expensive to clone the ECU

no problems apart from the trans slipping, so you did have problems then lol and on a 2 year old cars with 16k miles that's not a good thing at all. its like the phones ads on Facebook "works fine not a thing wrong with it apart from the broken screen"

That’s only because I was pushing 700wtq which I knew would make the trans slip. Dialed the torque back to 650 and it’s fine. Stock transmission’s on the MK5’s hold 650wtq all day

Actually yes, once. Back when it was just DP and tune. It was really weird. It was like a delay in acceleration for a second or two…but I’ve never had it happen again so idk why it happened

Great video but no offense 2 years and 16000 miles the world's worst car isn't even broken in yet so this is hardly a long term review!!! Again it's only the miles you have on it but I would rather see 4 or 5 years and 70000 miles to see if a car is actually reliable not when it's still almost new.

Seats probably got shinier when you've been farting on it. Gas may evaporate but certain gas, such as human gas, when hitting a surface can turn into liquid. Time to get that leather cleaned and reconditioned buddy 😂

Panel gaps a BMW thing? You should take it to the dealer and let them align it. Shouldn't come from the factory like that. Unless, of course, BMW neglected it for Toyota.

Cast iron block is hard to beat…but I see why they went to aluminum to cut weight. Regardless 2JZ and B58 are both great engines
