I’ve been on trt for about 15 years and out of those 15 years I used and estrogen blocker for about a month. You don’t need it. If you’re estrogen is too high then you need to lower your test dose. It’s as simple as that. Estrogen is very cardiovascular protective. Good for libido and brain function. And do yourself and your muscles a favor and get some 1/2 inch 27 gauge insulin syringes. You don’t need those big long needles for your injections. Good luck.
@MMTV
@MMTV Жыл бұрын
So I’m supposed to lower my test… which is already low… which is leading to negative side effects.. but I can’t ever get relief of those side effects because I can’t have a test dose that would benefit me? No offense but this is why I trust doctors. I need a test dose that will raise my test level… because lowering it will keep it low and not normal. There’s nothing wrong with an estrogen blocker because it’s not eliminating all levels of estrogen. I’m at a healthy level and it’s working just fine.

You probably wouldn't need the Estrogen blocker if you were doing more frequent injections (even daily) not changing your overall dose per week, but breaking it up into much more frequent shots helps regulate your test and estrogen levels better according to the research I've done. Think about what happens naturally. Your testes do not blast once a week and then shut down, they produce a small amount every day in a pulse. Just food for thought.
@MMTV

I don't mind taking the estrogen blocker. it doesn't cause me any side effects and keeps my estrogen in the normal range and I don't have to worry about it. I also don't really want to take these shots daily, that would be annoying haha. 2 per week is good for me.

Also, the HCG and the replacement clomid are both known more often than testosterone to increase your estrogen. Aromatase inhibitors are fine if needed. If needed, meaning you're actually having issues from your estrogen that changing your dosage and frequency can't resolve. Good video man, the only thing I would say is maybe get a second opinion or just be careful. Many docs are turning away from the use or overuse of clomid and anastrozole. It could be the reason you have big gains and dips when you change test. dose slightly. Also, many say that as long as your estradiol rises parallel with your free T that its not a problem. Of course everything depends on how you feel and everyones different! Keep us updated

Hey there! This is solid advice! The clinic I’m at out is actually my third opinion. My first doc treated me for a bit and then sent me to a clinic, that clinic was fine but I just had a bad feeling in my gut about the lack of medical supervision. They basically send you 6 months worth of meds and a sheet telling you how much to take and then you see the doc every 6 months and it’s on you to stick to your regimen and dosage. I’m sure that works for some but I decided to go to a third place, where I’m at now (about 3 years now) and I see the doc once a week, and blood work every month.

A channel id recommend watching is trt & hormone optimization, watch all the vids they have on estrogen blockers. Estrogen is cardio protective and has many benefits for men, E blockers make your bones week and brittle and is very unhealthy for your brain, heart, and the rest of your cv system, it was originally used for women with breast cancer. Clomid can effect your vision and can cause irreversible damage to your eyes so just be aware of that. please research this stuff before you just through it into your body. there are alot of people with e2 above 80 and they haven't felt better and gyno is from an imbalance of hormones in the body and not from estrogen alone, people have had gyno with E2 in the gutter. hopefully this helps you a little bit or encourages you to learn and do some research on this stuff.

Did you actually experience symptoms of high estrogen? I recommend not taking an estrogen blocker as they are pretty bad for your health and contrary to popular belief, it’s good to have moderate levels of estrogen.
@MMTV
@MMTV 2 жыл бұрын
Hi there! Yes I had a few of the symptoms, mostly some of the light symptoms. Like I explained in this vid, I get blood work done every month by the doc and they have a scale showing where my estrogen should be. Without the estrogen blocker, I would be too high on that scale- so I have to take a dose 3x a week to remain in the normal range. If my blood work shows my estrogen is ever too low- then they adjust my dose to let it raise, but I don’t let it get higher than the normal range for me.

But free T is what's important and they may be trying to get that right with the higher dosage if your SHBG is high. What range is your Free T sitting in? Do they check your SHBG and DHT levels? Thanks for sharing your story. I just started therapy this week and every bit of info helps fill in the big picture.

I honestly am not sure of the chart, I just know on their chart they tell me I need to be at 1000 and when I began treatment a couple years back I was as low as 80 and 130 on some tests. I have no idea if their chart matches up to other clinics or charts as I’ve heard different numbers tossed around. They usually adjust me if I go over 1000, I’ve been as high as 1300 on their chart before but the weird part is I’ll randomly drop or spike without changing dose. Still working on that one

@@MMTV very questionable some things these professionals do or say brother, trt is relatively new, I'd rather take some advice from guys doing this for about 10-15 years, and all these dudes that actualy use the test, say that injecting daily or every other day negates the needs for any Estrogen blocker(you dont want all your extrogen blocked) and you defininetly dont need 1k test, each body has a slightly diff threshold so when you get outbreaks you clearly need to slightly lower the dose. I genuinely understand you wanna follow the "professionals" advice to the dot but when ur clearly getting outbreaks and some easily negatable effects you dont just blindly take their advice, just like you don't just take the 5 covid shots just cause "experts" say you should! A lot of times with two a week they don’t need arimidex, it’s not a guarantee that as test raises so does estrogen. It’s individual dependent. It’s like hair loss conversion to dht sensitivity. Your clinic should not be number focused as you describe. There’s no magic to “hitting 1000 or 1050”. You might need 1200 or 1300. You might do best with 900. The free testosterone levels are more important anyway.
@MMTV
@MMTV Жыл бұрын
I don’t think I did a great job of explaining things here, I might try and do another video to explain it better. They are shooting for that number I mentioned because that’s where they think I should be at, and when I’m at that number of 1000 I feel great. When I’m at 800 I feel terrible, when I’m at 1300 I feel great obviously, but I get terrible breakouts when I’m up that high- so 1000 seems to be the sweet spot.

Watching the numbers makes no sense to me. I think the target would be where you feel the best. I think the clinics are in it for the money, and so they’ll keep messing with you ….messing with the numbers….. up down this that ….100-200ml a wk should be fine
@MMTV
@MMTV Жыл бұрын
It makes sense if you look at it as a two part thing- yes if it was just the numbers you’d be right. But if you look at it as- when I’m in between 800 and 1000 on their scale I feel great and lower than that I feel like crap, then it makes sense to test and make sure I’m within that range. It also is a safety thing because going too high can cause things like heart problems. It also let them know that I needed to split my dose. Testing the numbers showed them I spike for a day and then tank, so I have to get two shots a week.

While the video and effort are appreciated, you’re lacking a ton of information and not in a place I feel to make this and although you aren’t giving advice, you’re giving a lot of muddy information: 1. they gave you clomid since most states etc made HCG impossible to get. I suggest you research these things on your own to see the differences. 2. Also your wild highs and lows are likely because your weekly schedule is 2x a week. Split it to 3x a week. 3. Also also, you don’t need help injecting. And do your glute instead of delt. Bleeds less.
@MMTV
@MMTV 11 ай бұрын
Hey there! So I’ve been meaning to make an update video- and you actually hit a lot of the points I wanted to make in that video: My variation in levels have been solved- not by going to 3x a week, but by changing the shot location to the glute. Since changing to the glute I’ve been steady all the way through for about 7 months ish. Also- I developed a very rare reaction to getting test in the shoulder- I have to look up what it’s called but what would happen is immediately after getting my T shot- I’d go into these coughing fits that would last for several minutes. Apparently 3% of TRT patients experience this? Either way- switching to the glute also fixed this. As far as the clomid goes- you are correct it’s because HCG is just impossible to get. I’ve went to 3 doctors however who all have agreed that the low dose of clomid I’m on isn’t doing me any harm and helping my body produce testosterone naturally, and not fully rely on the test shots- which I’m not a doctor myself, but that sounds ideal to me. Overall since making this video my levels have been really good! Finally been done with the rollercoaster I think.

@@MMTV hey hey… thanks for the reply. I didn’t want to sound mean. I got a channel, I know how toxic folks can be. I want you to research it… the reason they had you on HCG and now clomid isn’t for what you said. When you go off test or a SARM some men use clomid which is actually a female drug (SERM - estrogen monulator)… Anyhow HCG is good at helping fertility which because exogenous test crushes as LH and FSH is basically stopped on TRT. Now clomid can do that too, it helps push up LH and FSH… But to correct something- this is important my friend… It doesn’t help natural test production when you’re on TRT. You go on TRT and that’s it. You’re shut down. These compounds just nudge up LH and FSH which are part of the fertility cycle in men, and can help when NOT on outside sources if test to “reboot” the HPTA and get your natural production running again.

the Clomid may be for preservation of some fertility. I was offered this in order to maintain my fertility, until I clarified that we are expressly looking to avoid pregnancy at this time and for the foreseeable future, so the shutdown of fertility that TRT would cause is in fact a positive. We then narrowed it to once a week T only, since increased to twice a week. No Clomid, no HCG, nothing. Just the T.
@MMTV
@MMTV Жыл бұрын
@@sriig the way it was described to me when I first started was that the HCG was to encourage the body to produce natural testosterone, and not fully rely on the testosterone being introduced by the injections. They then switched to clomid later and explained that it is being used at a certain dosage for the same purpose. I will add to the point of fertility that it's true that it hurts it. My wife and I were trying to have a child a couple years back ( before I found out I had low T) and 6 months in to my treatment, we got pregnant with a beautiful little girl, who turns 2 this month!

Dude stay off the clomid. What is wrong with these clinics. Your body needs Estrogen for health reasons obviously. If you do take something take enclomiphene citrate once or max twice a week. 10 hour half-life. Clomid wil stop estrogen for 10 days or so. Also start Micro dosing at least twice a week
@MMTV
@MMTV Жыл бұрын
So taking an estrogen blocker doesn’t mean you are depriving yourself from estrogen. It means you are blocking the increased amounts of estrogen. My estrogen levels (among everything else) is checked once a month and my dosage of the blocker (clomid isn’t what they have on for estrogen at all) is adjusted so that I still have the healthy amount of estrogen I’m supposed to have. Also I believe in this video I said I’m on 2 shots a week.. that’s 2 small doses split up.

Is appreciate you as well. I think I need to do a better job of explaining where I’m at. I started at my regular doc, then moved to another clinic- didn’t like the way they ran their stuff, and moved to the clinic in at now. So this is my third opinion that I got on my treatment. I don’t think they are over prescribing because it makes sense when you look at it- these are the reasons you have low T, here’s why just using T injections don’t work and how we will fix it. And the monthly labs have actually worked out in my favor because they have caught other things that popped up that I would never have known about. I also don’t think my treatment route is for everyone that’s totally cool too- I think more guys should have this discussion, I know the clinic I goto is packed every time I go so it’s obvious a ton of men are dealing with this.

I’ve have MRIs for hearing issues so he’s confident that I don’t have a pituitary tumour. He did say that sometimes doctors just don’t know why a pituitary doesn’t work properly. I am excited to start TRT because I’ve read about so many people who have had positive experiences. Thanks for posting your videos, it reallly helps people like me feel informed and not so alone in this journey. Hugs to you brother!

@@jonathanarciszewski8198 hey brother! First off I’m so glad to hear you don’t have a tumor. That’s great news! I think the biggest thing for me is I read a lot about TRT and how the male body works with testosterone, and how it impacts all other things. For example, estrogen rises as your testosterone rises, and in men you need a little estrogen, but too much can lead to issues. So someone with very low T needs to have that raised, but estrogen is naturally gonna raise with it! So the doc prescribed something to lower the estrogen back to the natural level. I also seem to see that no matter what regimen someone is on or what doctor or clinic they attend, there will be another guy saying “your wrong, your being over managed”- there’s always experts everywhere saying everything is wrong but I don’t care about that. I talked to 3 doctors and got all 3 opinions and then went with the one that aligned best with my goals. That would be the only advice to you, go talk to a few places including a dedicated TRT clinic. Just get a consultation and info session and then see what you think then!
