What is so confusing is: I am a senior and I liked the list, but then another video will show up that says don't eat this and don't eat that. Some of these items are on your list. I have come to the conclusion to eat what I enjoy.

Thank you for your comment. Some doctors advice diabetic patients not to eat banana, because they want to err on the safe side. Many patients fail to follow portion size that might effect their sugar levels. Research suggest that diabetic patients can eat bananas, but they have to take care of portion size. A small banana once or twice a week will not have any problem. Just make sure that it is not an over-ripe one. Further, eat banana with any unsaturated fat such as almonds, pistachios, peanut butter (unsweetened), walnuts, unsalted sunflower seeds etc., Doing this will not spike your blood sugar levels suddenly.
