20 June Grenadier arrives - milk recording with NMR on robots.

Janet alison Sasha and Heidi land over for our first ever milk recording it was super exciting to see how the shuttles worked when connected to the robots. Everything went without a hitch super super impressed. Carl gets some grass seed in. I have to roll the fields. Wow I am seriously no good on a tractor very cross that I have to take the case with the loader on and it is filthy. I would’ve much preferred the Valtra. Full on farm day and the jerseys are behaving, the ineos grenadier arrives for a demo and I am officially in love it is EPIC honestly nothing like a defender and we used to drive one before the children were born, much more like a G-wagon but affordable. Got this from Bowker in my home county of Lancashire, very much enjoying having it here for a week!! I won’t want it to go home
My name is Charlotte Ashley and as of earlier this month I’m a dairy farmer and we milk 120 jerseys and associated followers on two Lely astronaught A5s
-A quick rundown if you are new to the channel I’m not from farming, Social media started as a casual interest in photography and farming combined I was a very green city girl and had a very excitable view of farming sharing it with my friends from city areas and it has grown from that into youtube and all other associated platforms below.
in 2009 i had no experience of farming or the realities that came with it. That soon changed when I met my other half Roy, I had a job as a carer and in every spare moment threw myself into farming. I had only ever driven a Nissan Micra and had experience with horses, I learnt the hard way as nobody had the time to show me and soon after arriving I found myself mothering on calves to three quarter bred limmy cows. We spent every available moment on the farm between our day jobs. Fast forward to 2016 two children later we moved into our very own farm overlooking the northern Pennines, Laitha.
I am overjoyed to be a farmer. I feel so fortunate every day to wake up and do what I love and even better share it with the world and hope it inspires more young people from Preston to spread their wings and think outside the box the world doesn’t need more childcare workers or hairdressers it needs more farmers.

Aviation Update. Airbus A400M Atlas, the phased replacement for the RAF C130 Hercules commonly known as a "Fat Albert". 🤔.The smaller aircraft earlier in the video was a UK version of a Beechcraft T-6 Texan Turboprop trainer for the RAF. 😉👍.

If you chop and change your fuel supplier for a few pence difference you can never guarantee getting fuel when need it be loyal to one supplier and pay your bills on time and you will always be able to get fuel

Is this milk recording box their own? I mean Lely has their shuttle. In Sweden, farmers who buy this service from "breeding company" uses Lely own or DeLaval own boxes.

I always enjoy your videos and sense of humor. (You're a riot!) Being from the US, a couple of questions. You have hedgerows AND fences. Looks very nice. Is there a practical reason for the hedgerows or is it just your choice to keep with traditions, or something else? Just curious. You've had your Lely's for a bit now and from what I've seen on your posts and others I've watched, they're stellar. Might I ask how you settled on them vs GEA or DeLaval, etc.? Hiya have you striped that cow out and taken her temp etc. If it is her foot then I thing you should be buying a foot trimming crush, not an all singing all dancing one just one for on farm use. There are 4 things to profitable dairy farming an thats the 4 things the cows stand on. You can have the best tracters in the world grow the best grass make great silage but if your cows are lame your not making any money. ❤❤ trying to be helpful I'm not having a rant.
