Short and Ohh so sweet! I love the way you make each move different than the "norm" and quickly move into the next resting stretch-- all while encouraging me into the next move-- just in time before I give in and rest on my own. Great video to remain in touch with my intentions for a joyful practice.

Really love this core training. When I practice crow pose, I can get up but after 5 sec my arms always give out. Any good yoga practice that can strengthen my arms and wrists?
@yogabycandace8 жыл бұрын
+GetFitwithMindy While it's definitely an arm balance, I would say you use the arms and core equally (if not MORE core) - so I would continue to work on your core strength and upper body strength as well with flows like this: yogabycandace.com/blog/free-full-yoga-class-for-arm-balances

I loved this video! It was challenging but not too hard. Although I am wondering whether I'm doing something wrong in boat pose. I feel more burn in my inner thighs/hip area than in my core. Can it be that I'm doing something wrong, or might this mean that this area is just not strong enough (yet)? Thanks for a great practice, Candace!
@yogabycandace8 жыл бұрын
+Yvonne Broeks No, I don't think you're doing anything wrong. Boat pose also works the hip flexors which is right around the area you're describing. Keep practicing and I bet with time you won't feel that area burn anymore :)

i have always adored the way "crayon" is said with (some) american accents - i was like "crane?" "cran.. maybe it's a special yoga thing i don't own?" "OHHH CRAYON!!!!" :D :D :D
@yogabycandace8 жыл бұрын

Hi Candace. It's another beautiful day and sending positive vibes from GA. One question, how many hours or how many sequences can I do every day. I already to the 15 min wake up sequence, and 20 min yoga for core strength, this one. Would it be too much to add another sequence? What do you recommend? Thank :)

Love your vids, but your last few videos have been filmed way too far away! Zoom in and improve your viewers ability to follow the subtle movements. Thanks and good luck w/the new book!
@yogabycandace8 жыл бұрын
+Rob Sycamore Thanks for the feedback, Rob. I think if I zoom in, though, it'll cut off my arms/legs when I begin to move in flows (though for this video, it could've worked since it was just core stuff). I may need to invest in another camera for a second angle. Thanks again for the feedback, I appreciate it.
@ironimpactdojo8 жыл бұрын
Yep, that's just what I was thinking. Either a second cam, or maybe just a head on shot...not sure it would work, but in my brain that seems to have potential! Keep up the great work; it's appreciated!
@abigailkelly79388 жыл бұрын
The workout part of this video is great, but unfortunately the first 3 min and last 7 (?!) of a 20 minute video are savasana. It just doesn't make it worth the yoga part. I did enjoy the strength section though.
@yogabycandace8 жыл бұрын
Hey Abigail - If you go to any yoga class at a studio, you will see that they always start with a guided centering at the beginning of class and a long savasana (sometimes 10 - 15 minutes long). Both are considered vital to the yoga practice, and are indeed yoga. I think you're confusing asana (postures) with yoga. The asana (poses/postures) are PART of yoga, but yoga also includes pranayama (breathing) and meditation (what you see at the beginning and end of this video).
@abigailkelly79388 жыл бұрын
Apologies. Absolutely, I’m familiar with a 1.5 hour class format and please excuse me for focusing on the ‘yoga part’. I just meant, in more layman terms, the more active vs reflective part of the practice (I’m not an instructor, just someone who enjoys it). But sometimes when you’ve only got 20 minutes, it’s nice to be a bit more focused on the asana (I'll try my best to use proper names, but again that's what instructors are usually so kind at guiding us through). I’m not discounting the pranayama and meditation, just mentioning shortening it as another way to approach a very short session. Thanks!
