Does He care whether we are standing, sitting, bowing, etc.? 3. 33:31 {Why isn’t Dan Listed?} In Revelation 7, 12 x 1200 are listed from 11 of the 12 tribes. Dan isn't listed. Was His plan to always to perfect us in Christ? 8. 53:23 {Is a Lack of Structure & Liturgy Problematic?} What do you think about tradition and church liturgy? Is it not a problem that contemporary churches lack beauty and tradition in their doctrine? 9. 58:32 {Will the Gospel Reach All Nations Soon?} It seems that Jesus, in Matthew 24: 14, indicates that His return will come once the Gospel is preached to all nations. Can we assume this will happen sooner rather than much later? 10. 1:02:29 {Jesus = Michael the Archangel?} Is Michael the Archangel Jesus? I once heard a pastor give praises and prayers to Michael on the pulpit, and when I asked him about it, he referenced a few Scriptures but I’m just not fully convinced. 11. 1:06:41 {About Behemoth & Leviathan} Can you shed some clarity on what exactly is behemoth and leviathan in the Old Testament? 12. 1:08:24 {Jesus Indwelt by the Spirit?} Was Jesus indwelt by the Holy Spirit, or was it His own divine nature that sustained Him while on Earth in His human form? 13. 1:11:45 {Healing: By Faith or By God?} In Luke 8: 43-48, Jesus says, “Your faith has made you well.” He didn’t say God did it, but her faith. How is this different than the Law of Attraction as told by New Agers? 14. 1:17:25 {Hellfire & Brimstone Preaching} What are your thoughts on the "Hellfire and Brimstone" style of preaching? Is there any truth in it? 15. 1:22:19 {Is Debt Inherently Sinful?} I have a question on debt. Do you see debt as sinful, or is it something that can become sinful if abused, like alcohol consumption? Any clear biblical lines on the issue? 16. 1:25:39 {When Believers Disagree} Can you give me any advice on living in unity with other brothers and sisters in Christ? I always try to keep secondary issues secondary, but I’ve heard “Well, your secondary issues are someone else’s primary issues.” 17. 1:29:53 {Using “Preferred Pronouns”?} I am a manager for a large retailer, and I have recently had two employees request that I address them by their non-binary pronouns. Do you have any thoughts on how I should proceed? 18. 1:34:36 {The Doctrine of Inspiration} What evidence and encouragement can you offer a believer who is struggling to trust the doctrine of inspiration? I know that it’s true, but I struggle with doubt. 19. 1:38:03 {Teaching PSA to Our Youth} My ex is Muslim. He taught our kids that God’s forgiveness is enough and there is no need for God to die for our sins. Do you have any ideas on how to discuss Penal Substitution with a 9 yr. old? 20. 1:41:14 {Are David & Solomon in Hell?} I’ve always wondered why David and Solomon get a pass. David had 7 wives and 70 concubines. Solomon had 70 wives and 700 concubines. If "no fornicators will enter," are David and Solomon in Hell?

Jesus can certainly be a “Mighty God” while also being an angel. Satan is referred to as a god. Compared to any human, Satan is very mighty just as all other angels are. *_2 CORINTHIANS 4:4_* *_ISAIAH 37:36_* Also, the term eternal father could not suggest Jesus is the same Father he claimed to obey and worship. He would be considered extremely deceitful if they were one in the same since he continued to speak about and give all credit to his Father in heaven.

Mike said there are many Archangels. Yet couldn’t name none other than Michael. The scriptures only identify one Archangel so why would someone claim there are multiple when there is not scriptural evidence to support the claim? When you argue something it’s best to stick with VERIFIABLE FACTS. Don’t make things up you can’t support with the text. If you can’t support it with scripture find another argument that CAN BE supported with scripture.

In Judges, something similar to the Sodom incident happens: men come wanting to rape a woman (gang rape), the Jewish man sends out the concubine, they rape her to death, then there is vengeance sought. This shows how evil the covenant folks had become. They mimicked the evil of Sodom in a heterosexual gang rape context..and actually caused a woman's death. That the man turned the woman over, like Lot was willing to turn his daughters over.....that shows a loss of moral fortitude/perspective. And yet the bible calls Lot righteous. :D

Friend, lapsing from the RCC is a blessing for you so that you can hear the gospel for the first time in your whole life. The RCC restrains their adherents from salvation and has turned grace into wrath that all Roman Catholics will unfortunately face with GOD when they die. The covering of Christ’s blood is not offered in the RCC, only lies. Grace cannot be merited or it is no longer grace, Ephesians makes that clear. You will never hear an RCC priest tell you that James 2 is expecting the reader to be familiar with Romans 4 so they don’t misunderstand James either. They want you to seek merited grace because it keeps you a slave to Rome. They want your money and they want your soul. This is the highest form of pure evil and it’s also prophesied directly within the New Testament. Here’s the gospel, trust in Jesus Christ as your propitiation with the Father. Trust that Jesus Christ took your place on the cross and suffered the wrath of GOD for you so that you could live forever. Trust everything Jesus ever said, and trust that when you don’t live up to his high standard for you that his forgiveness is still paid for you in blood. Read a gospel, I like Matthew or John for a first time full read for a new Christian. If you trust it, go directly in prayer to the Father in heaven(never go to a priest for this), and tell GOD that you want Jesus to be your savior, and trust that he did it all for you. Real grace is what you don’t deserve, you cannot earn it or merit it, this puts you under the condemnation of Matthew 7:21-23 if you try to merit grace. This one act of pure uncontaminated trust in Jesus Christ is all you need to be “born again”. So trust in Jesus Christ friend, he’s waiting for you now! GOD Bless you! ❤️

@@narrowistheway77 Brother, I think God's providence is at work when I saw your comment on the 206th day of 2024. "Grace cannot be merited or it is no longer grace, Ephesians makes that clear. You will never hear an RCC priest tell you that" In Catechism in a Year with Fr. Mike Schmitz, Day 199 (v=Ti8Udi38ks8 is the yt video id), Fr. Mike shares the story of a "light" penance he received as a missionary at timecode 16:10. The priest's first response to Fr. Mike's objection over the heft of the penance is "That's because God's grace is free. You're not earning his grace, you're not earning his mercy." To reiterate, a priest told that to a penitent, who also became a priest and told that to everyone who listens to him read the and reflect on the Catechism. In Catechism in a Year with Fr. Mike Schmitz, Day 201 (v=FiJArFHwTLw is the yt video id), Fr. Mike describes a story of a Baptist preacher's objection to the priest's involvement in confession and the priest's response at timecode 6:47. The sacrament of reconciliation (i.e. confession) is the renewal of baptism, the moment in which one is born again to the Christian life in the reckoning of Holy Mother Church. Unless you believe that God's grace robs you of the freedom to fall away by your own rejection of that grace, then you too must believe in the need of the Christian returning to God repentantly when he sins. And in so far as this makes you a slave to Rome, i.e. the Church that Christ gave us, then yes. I am a slave to the Body of Christ because I am a slave to Christ.

Thank you, Mike! I find it so interesting that in today’s culture, homosexuality is viewed as normal and completely safe. But as you suggested from the CDC, anyone who has had a homosexual relationship since 1979 cannot donate blood due to these risks involved. If Homosexuality is so “normal“, then why would this be the case?
@reality1958 Жыл бұрын
That law is no more
@maggiemoonpie2168 Жыл бұрын
In the past, roughly 80% of homosexuals were the product of childhood sexual perversion/molestation. The other 10% were the product of a parent who had been molested, give or take, sometimes it skips a generation. It's a generational demon. Most generational demons either cleave onto the child or they will grow up to marry someone with this generational demon- we live out cycles. It takes two generations to rid ourselves of dysfunctional cycles. Unless they are aware of the situation and through Jesus, fast and pray and rid ourselves of the dysfunction. Now subliminal messages, schools and society started pushing it on unsuspecting children. There is no gay pride. A sexually perverted child, all grown up, is nothing to celebrate and pride is the number one deadliest sin. It isn't that Jesus doesn't love homosexuals, it's just that nobody's life should revolve around sex, or a sex organ. Or moreover their lives should not be one of lies, perverse, hidden in secret, using other people, wasting their lives, ruining their chance at a loving marriage just to be used as pawns in your loveless charade. Sexual mutilating children has marked the fall of every prior civilization, including our own. This marks the beginning of the end. The rainbow is Jesus' symbol and it's been knowingly inverted and perverted because it upsets God. But it's hurting a child and ruining their body- a temple for the Holy Spirit deeply hurts God. The fallen angels love to play God and their demonic spirits will take over entire generations of civilizations on a continuous groundhog day style loop. We must be aware of this in order to fight it. The bible says (I'm paraphrasing) that anyone who knowingly unnecessarily hurts and/or perverts a child will be severely dealt with on judgement day personally, by God's own right hand angels! And I wouldn't wanna watch cause it ain't gonna be pretty!

And asking that question, then who's to say it's wrong to take the next step further in than that & do things with your own children if it's loving and concentual. You are exactly right on the point. People don't want to use their brain & think that when they are affirming one act, that they are also affirming another that's in exact relation to their own views about what's allowed, but then they say, no that's where we want draw the line now, the new line. But because they already opened that door & tracked the dirt in with muddy boots what makes them think everyone following in after them will take their shoes off at the door. Most people don't want to think that far, what they're letting in that follows after them. They just want to be allowed to do what they think is ok or not that bad... they don't want to think about it because if they really did, they would have to backtrack & follow that logical uprooting of what they really wanted to plant. it's not a flower it's a weed, it may look like a pretty weed but it's going to spread and destroy the garden around it like invasive weeds do.

@NoahOD_2210 ай бұрын
What you say is partly true. We are to pray without ceasing. So, certainly we can and should pray in whatever we may be doing, not always needing to assume a certain posture. But there is definitely something to praying on your knees. The posture, on its own, is one of submission. Being that we are supposed to humble ourselves before God and submit ourselves to Him, assuming that physical posture can also help to bring about that same posture of submission within our hearts. If you don’t currently pray in such a way, definitely try it out. Continue on praying throughout your day’s activities-that is also good and necessary. But you’ll be surprised at how effective praying on your knees can be. Try to work it in your daily routine at once a day. Either first thing in the morning, last thing before bed, or both. I hope this helps :)

Brother Mike, I want you to know that I really appreciate you taking the time to teach us 20 questions it's the highlight of my day when you do this, I really get a lot out of it, I enjoy it thank you so much.

"What's being offended is your rebellion against God." Wow. That's the truth right there! So many things that "offend" us, are really just highlighting where we are in rebellion against God. Good insight, Mike!!

Yes! Thank you so much for breaking this down so well. All your points are well-taken, but you hit the nail on the head at the 25:50 mark when you said, "what's being offended is your rebellion against God." That sums it all up right there. Although we all have temptations to sin in various ways, the defense of our sin as "not sin" is what makes it outright rebellion against God. It is not a sin to be tempted; but it IS a grave sin to REBEL against God. Satan gave us the idea to rebel when he asked Eve, "Has God said?" Yes He has. He has indeed.

Tried to few days ago because they have been feeling great or 4 months. And no. Hurting so much still three days later. So glad God is understanding. And I get can pray in so many other postures. But I sure miss it. Haven't been able to do it for years,

Mike, thank you so much for your ministry, I love listening to Gods wisdom through you! When people ask questions about what are Gods motives for creating us and allowing sin and things like this, I haven’t heard you bring up scriptures like 2 Timothy 1:9 or multiple scriptures in Ephesians, one of them being Ephesians 3:9-11, or others. These scriptures state that God had an eternal plan for creation, and it was for Jesus Christ to come demonstrate the love and grace of God, and create the church (Gods people) through Jesus Christ, to display His wisdom through us. I think it’s clear from scripture that it’s not God heart for us to have sinned, but He knew what we would do beforehand and already had a plan in motion. Of course, this is all deep stuff to talk about and we could talk for a long time about it all, but I do think that scripture speaks to these sorts of questions, and you can help people and myself think more biblically about Gods heart and motives and plan. It perhaps hurts our pride to say it, because we want life to be about us primarily, but Gods heart and plan and motives was always ultimately for His Son Jesus to be glorified , and we see this in Ephesians 1:14, the end of Romans 11 and many other places in scripture, and by His incredible love and mercy, we who were enemies get to now walk with God in intimacy by grace through faith…I hope none of this comes across as me teach you something lol but just felt led to ask this, love you brother, thank you! Totally understand if you never see this comment lol

For question number nine, it’s important to continue reading after the place Mike and the question stopped. Before the end, when Jesus comes on the clouds of the sky, there is also the abomination that causes desolation and the greatest distress of earth’s history… Often called the time of tribulation. After that, there will be heavenly signs, and Jesus will come and gather his elect from the four winds.

Re: question 1 - I default back to God’s definition of love (1 Cor 13). Yes love is patient and kind, but it also does not rejoice in iniquity. If I love someone, that means I do not want them to practice sin. Is it loving to enable sin? Never.

The question about why God didn't create us more beloved benevolent to him. I lost my daughter she was twenty-eight two years ago. She got into some bad stuff and ended up killing her heart. So one day I'm praying and I asked God why did you make humans knowing that they would fail and that they would rebel? He said to me knowing what you know about Jessica would you have still had her and had the time you have with her. So that answered everything his love for us so great then he decided to go ahead and go through even though he knew he was going to have to fix this through Christ It brought me to tears but it gave me a small taste a very small. Of what God was thinking it is always been about his love for us. Not our mistakes but his love for us.

What appears to be missing in the commentaries below is that God will give everyone the power to surmount "feelings" or felt-needs...through the Cross. God will give everyone the right feelings in this area. If we don't provide this missing piece, then everything we say will appear to be unloving and intolerant. "God will not leave you with these feelings; he will give you new feelings."

This is way off topic but a weird coincidence. Last night I downloaded call of duty black ops cold War because it's free on PS5 right now and found a cool secret code thing to unlock an area of your safe house and in the corner is an old arcade cabinet you can play and the only game on it I've unlocked is pitfall. My wife sees me playing it and tells me how when she was a kid she would play pitfall on GameCube and her mom would tell her how lucky she was because the pitfall she played as a kid was the old arcade sidescroller pitfall I was playing, then I open 20 questions to Mike wearing a pitfall shirt lol. Mike, first, thank you for all you do. Regarding question #1: the numerous contradictions with the 'affirming' arguments are deeply frustrating, and thank you for broadly addressing them all. When I hear the argument about "they weren't talking about long-term loving relationships", I always respond: 'did those not exist back then?' Because if they didn't exist, then the lifestyle in question isn't likely to be naturally occurring and is a product of our culture. If it did exist, then certainly they were talking about it. That usually doesn't change their mind (they are committed to a belief) but answering my question puts them into a dilemma which at least makes them challenge their opinions.

On Q8: I struggle with this currently! I've been attending a Assembly of God church but haven't joined. Inside, its dark and resembles a concert stage with a smoke machine. They sing contemysonga that don't reflect biblical love and often don't mention Jesus or God. I brought up my concerns with a music ministry member as well as the previous pastor. This same church used to have a different order beginning with prayer, hymns, sermon, etc. Now its just this music then a sermon. I'm afraid they'll center on more spirit feeled worship in the future with the new younger pastor. Yes, I meant to spell it wrong. I was Roman Catholic just 3 years ago so now it's nice to worship with my husband of 37 years, but this shallow music is wearing me down!

Im AG and many of our churches have gone seeker friendly with this model of contemporary music only, dark sanctuaries and fog . It has ruined many of our AG churches. Not all of them are like this. Perhaps there is a more traditional AG church there in town or close by that you could try. AG is a good denomination.

Love what you said about free will and love related to God's design. I would add beauty and joy. If we only saw beautiful sunsets and fields of wildflowers next to a babbling mountain stream everyday, would we so much joy in it? We GET TO experience difficulties that beauty and joy and Heaven might be enjoyed more. I don't know this for sure, but it makes sense. The Bible and Christ say that those who have suffered in his name will be blessed in heaven. Perhaps they will get greater rewards and/or perhaps they will enjoy and appreciate the nature of heaven more. Food for thought. Blessings!

33:31 Another thing about Dan that might be interesting to note: They weren't always the northernmost tribe. If you recall those maps of Israel split up between the 12 tribes, Dan was somewhere in the middle. But the thing is, Dan forsook their inheritance, and the whole tribe moved up to the city of Laish, which was re-named Dan. (Hence the expression 'from Dan to Beersheba', meaning from the very northernmost city to the southernmost city, i.e. all of Israel). So perhaps Dan was omitted because they forsook their inheritance.
@DM-he1ug Жыл бұрын
Interesting idea. But Ephraim is also missing, whereas Levi and Joseph are included, which were never part of the 12 tribes. So that's tricky...
@ridethelapras Жыл бұрын
@@DM-he1ug My only suggestion for an answer to that is that the tribe of Joseph equates to the tribe of Ephraim, based on the fact that when Jacob was blessing his sons, Ephraim (the younger son of Joseph) inherited the blessing of his father over against the elder brother Manasseh (Genesis 48 vv. 17-20). Besides, due to the symbolic nature of the Revelation, the 12 tribes of Rev. 7 do not necessarily need to equate to the "real" 12 tribes.
@DM-he1ug Жыл бұрын
@@ridethelapras It seems to me that if those verses are referring to the literal 12 tribes of Israel, it sure would have been simpler to understand if John had just simply listed the names of the actual 12 tribes...

@@DM-he1ug Maybe you're right, but something tells me making it simple to understand was not what John was necessarily going for.

I'm going to consider this as a spirit-led path for my bible study today, for I was just doing my own bible reading, reading Isaiah and feeling so grateful for Jesus's sacrifice, then on youtube I was watching Abolitionists Rising channel doing evangelism and street preaching during Pride parade. Watching the rebellious hateful people flagrantly show off their rebellion and self righteousness brought me to look up the angels and Lot trying to defend the angels from the men trying to have sex with them. There, I found Greg Koukl's article on the very same subject (of the sins of Sodom and Gomorrah), about the very same 'debate' which made no sense to me that God would destroy S&G for inhospitality or rape? I went also to find all the translations of the same verse. Then after finishing my study about 1 hr later, your video came right up on my feed. Wow. Guess I'll open my bible back up and add more notes to the same passage woohoo~

I can't get on my knees to pray because of painful joints. I asked my dad if it was important to be on my knees when I pray and he told me that God cares about the "position" of your heart.
