How do you actually know the inner workings of Charles’ mind? I find it incredible that people think they actually know all these “royals” or anyone else who is famous. Charles & Diana should never have got married- they weren’t suited to each other; the age difference was too great; they didn’t really know each other; they certainly weren’t in love with each other. It was a marriage of convenience for BOTH of them. Diana was a terribly naive immature unworldly sort of girl. She was lovely and as a nation most of us (not all) fell in love with her but she had very little experience of life except that her mother had left them all.

It will be interesting to see if the monarchy will be able to survive with King Charles. To me Queen Elizabeth symbolized the UK. She lived an exemplary life of service for her country and commanded respect. Charles definitely did not inherit that kind of temperament. I really think that the only reason the British people supported the monarchy for so long is directly a result of the Queen being so popular and effective in her role as head of state.

It will almost definitely survive. Charles isn't popular, but he's not deeply hated either. Also, think about what would have to change in order to remove the royal family. (1) There would need to be widespread, enthusiastic support for republicanism amongst the general public. (2) It would have to make its way high up the political agenda of the Tories or Labour. (3) It would have to be decided by a vote - most likely in parliament, though a referendum is possible but unlikely due to Brexit. The probability that any scandal in the next few decades would be enough to make these three seismic events take place is extremely low. The most likely scenario is that King Charles III will fulfil his royal duties but without the attention, fanfare and respect enjoyed by his mother. Then it will pass to William, who will be more popular, and the future of the institution will be in his hands. Even if their popularity dwindles more than it already has, the hostility towards them will never sufficiently exceed the affection to make republicanism a viable platform for either political party. They're here to stay, that's it.

Although i think some of the rules for the royal family are very outdated i do agree with all these reasons. How you react or treat others says a lot about the person you are. For example: Charles and Camila being the 2 that made Princess Diana want to commit suicide and not even caring that they did so is very concerning to me. I am American but i truly hope Charles will make a great king. I just have my doubts. If Charles needs SOOO much reassurance that will mean that Camila will be the one controlling things since it is a proven fact in Charles own words she controls him with her hoo ha. Then there is of course the fact that Camila and Charles broke one of the most sacred commandments. I think there will always be the secret hate for Camila for that. I honestly feel like the most important reason why was not mentioned. I believe the biggest reason is that of Elizabeth R's children, it is clear that the best person to become the monarch is the one who seems to want nothing to do with the post - Princess Anne. She is the pragmatic strong leader that most people in the UK would stand behind if she was next in line. If it were her, I know that age, marriage situation etc. would not be an issue. She was simply too evident in her abilities by comparison to him. Too hard a worker and too unpretentious a leader. Queen Elizabeth's uncle vacated the throne to marry a divorcee. Charles marries one and makes her queen consort. Not to mention she was his mistress, per say. Charles is a wimp, plain and simple. I'll always miss Diana. 😭 She had class, style, kindness, a lot of heart and all the qualities anyone would find admirable and suitable for a queen, as well as being a loving mother to her sons Prince William and Prince Harry. Camilla completely fails in comparison to Diana. I can't even see Camilla as the new Queen. If Diana was still here with us, she would've been a great Queen and William probably would've been King already, with Harry by his side as Prince Regent or something.😁

I am for honour and justice! How can an adulterous monarch be king when he and camilla were enjoying their time while still married to a his wife? The worst thing that happened was camilla ensulted and taunted Diana when the latter pleaded with camilla to stay from her husband. Camilla enjoyed it when she said, well, you have your title but I have your prince! This is the moment when monarchy should be abolished! However if by fate, William and Kate became king and queen, I will shout to the world, god save the king!🤥😒

He never stopped having an affair when he married Diana. He has so far had two televised tantrums in Ireland and Scotland because he got ink on his finger. A 74 year old man was jumping around the room saying he hated this. While people were trying to give him a cloth. He didn’t leave Camilla because she mother’s him. His Father was right.

Yes, he did stop having the affair when he married Diana. He did not resume it until their marriage was over in all but name, at which time Diana also began having affairs with others (and stalked and harassed one of her affair partners.) It's amazing what the Teflon Princess got away with in the eyes of the public. And if you want to talk about the wife being a Mommy, just take a look at Harry and Meghan.

As far as needing a motherly person, he quasi found that in Camilla. Only she's more of a manipulator. But it does the job. As far as his stubbornness or spoiledness, that ends now bc mommy and daddy aren't hear to protect him nor spoil him. He doesn't have to be king, William can.
