Yup. I used 10 mate boosted megas to fight the spiders, then cleared the cave with just 2 of them. Their bug boost is crazy effective

The only problem is if you don’t got a cryopod as you saw they couldn’t fit a bear through while a megathirum definintly would be 100% better then a Rex it would still be to big to go all the way in the cave with without a cryopod

you'll need cryopods for parts I think but yes, just like the Island bug cave and regular spider boss battle megatheriums are the way to go!

And yeah they did prep by bringing the Rexs but there's like 3 choke points in there where even the bear cant go. So the Rexs can only help u for about 1/10 of the cave lol. They need cryopods but that's not how they're playing the game. The primitive approach does make things interesting tho.

Most caves in Ark has some form of bug, so if you’re ever going to do a cave again I highly recommend taming a high level Megatherium to take care of the bugs.
