Bees have always been terrifying to me and I also have not been stung by one. I love working in the garden, so I have had to find a way to not freak out when sharing their space. Hi Mykayla! I was a gymnast for about 5 years and loved every second of it and I wanted to be in the gym 24/7. I was the best at gymnastics (in my opinion) and made my schools intermediate team in 2nd grade (7yrs old) I started when I was five. I HATED bars with a passion. I am super bony and not very strong upper body wise so bars were not it for me. My coaches got fired because of something (I’m not completely sure of why) so my town didn’t have a gymnastics team for about a year and my school considered dropping gymnastics . So when I was ready to rejoin my family moved so I couldn’t rejoin. There is a gym about 45 mins away from me but my mom didn’t want to drive me anymore (I went to 2 gyms per year so Jan-June at my hometown gym and the rest of the year at another gym about 45 mins away) I am now in softball and tennis. A lot of rambling but my point is, is that I love gymnastics and wish I could still persue it. I love you so much and am so proud of you.

Hi Myk! You are such a wonderful gymnast! I'm a competitive dancer with body image issues, so watching what I eat is here and there. When I am just training at the studio I eat whatever, but like two weeks before a dance competition I will cut down on some things. Something that I have been experiencing lately as a teen is that I get a nervous stomach, normally I get nervous but here recently at comps I get sick before either my first dance or after it. So now I have a list on what I eat for competitions.
@BDjoetaxi19993 жыл бұрын
I am really glad to hear for most of your career you ate what you. For decades athletes were pressured to be on these diets that hurt them (what happened with Nike sponsored track Athletes. The many stories of gymnasts starving themselves). Fueling your body gives you the strength to be able to perform! I really like that you were breaking the molds, coming back from college, being an "older" gymnast and succeeding. Eating!!! You're a true gem. 😄

You're hilarious MyKayla! I would just love to sit down and have a coffee with you. Everyone in my family always makes fun of me for being a grown woman that loves chicken nuggets with ketchup. It's good to know I'm not alone haha. A tip if you want to read more, it may work for. Try starting out with some magazine that have articles that you are interested in. From magaines you can work your way up to a short story. My suggestion is to read the blurb and look for a story that you connect with.
@telizabethxo3 жыл бұрын
Okay on the reading thing here’s a few suggestions. 1. Try a kindle. It’s a game changer makes reading so much easier and convenient because you can take it anywhere, great for outside and I find myself reading faster on it. It’s easier to hold for long periods of time and bonus it can define words for you with a tap. I love mine I had the paperwhite updated to the oasis love both but I’d say start with a paperwhite. 2. Try audiobooks. I love them because I can do other things while listening. I’ll listen on walks, in the car, doing a puzzle or just while running errands or cleaning. I’d say if you try that and still don’t like reading. Then you might just not be a reader and that’s okay too.

Your scare response after a scary movie, can make us twins. Scary movies that really scared me were Jurassic Park, I was 4yrs old when I first watched it, Mimic, I was 5 and still cannot watch without being terrified, The Exorcist (1973), I was 12 and that did the most damage, but I have grown out of my fear of it, and the series that scares me most is Chucky, I have seen bits and pieces throughout my early childhood years, and even the tv commercials with Chucky in them, makes me cringe, I still cannot watch them... All of these movies I have had nightmares from but majority were from Jurassic Park and the exorcist...I love Jurassic Park and Jurassic world today, and am excited for the next one coming out next year.

20 facts - mostly about me, plus reflections of yours - where applicable. 1. Mushrooms are sooooooo good for you, if they’re cooked. If not throw ‘em in the trash (start small by throwing them into a scramble, finely chopped). The type of mushroom matters, try oyster or crimini. 2. I almost lost my leg in 10/20 due to sepsis. 3. I Love cats 🐈- I even foster them :) 4. I was born 3 weeks late, and made my debut 36 minutes into a new day (the 13th) - so I wouldn’t have to share my day with anyone in the families- 2 uncles born on 12th, and my BFF (also the 12th) who I’d meet many years later though we were born in the same year in different states. All in the same month too! 5. As for books, audible!!!!!! Plus a book where you read at most a chapter a night & it’s okay if life gets in the way, just try a bit a day. I’m all for life long learning and getting wrapped up in a story. 6. I moved to Tucson 6 years ago and I Love it here, the people are great. 7. I dream of traveling in a van/camper/motor home, taking hikes, taking pictures & painting pictures, probably with a cat or two 🐈 🐈⬛. 8. I love big SUV’s & trucks. 9.I like to drive up the backside of Mt. Lemmon. 10. I have one child. 11. Chicago has the best food hands down! 12. I spent nearly half my life on my aunt and uncles farm. 13. I was one of the girls in Chicago who earned their Gold Award the first year you could earn it. 14. My freshman year of HS I went to a performing Arts school that had only just opened the year prior. 15. I still play my flute. Though not well or often anymore. 16. I have ridiculous allergies. 17. You’re right twenty is hard. 18. I see your size 5 feet and raise you a size 13. 🤣. 19. I sleep with a fan on year round. 20. I like sparkly things.

Haha - you're so similar to me, except I don't do gymnastics and I'm obsessed with reading! I like fish fillets (e.g. salmon) but hate anything else seafood. Not a fan of mushrooms, I'm gluten-free too. I'm 5 foot tall, have size 5 feet, I have over-extending elbows and knees but I am so inflexible so also hate yoga (it's basically torture and very UN-relaxing). I need to drink way more water and I'm a fellow lip-picker (I also pick loose skin off my heels too)!

I can’t make a 3 with my right hand either! I thought I was the only one, but I’m glad to know I’m not alone 😂

My son NEVER brought home a book all the years he was in school EVER!! He always did his home work at school. His senior year he brought home a library book (i never knew this)... I never seen it and only found out when this book was overdue and the only way he was going to graduate and recieve his diploma was to to return the book and pay the fees Or pay the cost of the book. NEEDLESS TO SAY....I never found the book even after he said he looked for it, so I paid for the book and my son graduated with his class. He went on and served in the Navy and now many yrs later is now a K9 deputy with the sheriff's dept. ☺

I have done goat yoga! It was so much fun and the goats were so cute :) Tbh we did not do a whole lot of yoga cause the goats were too distracting from being cute, they also pooped and peed on some mats just a forewarning. I highly recommend!

My 6 yo is so excited about the things you have in common: you both love chocolate milk, french fries, and chicken nugget, and know nothing about (other) sports. 😂

I have never met another person that picks their lips! I’ve been doing that my whole life and everyone around me hates it 😂 my husband will jokingly knock my hand to stop me from doing it. Thanks for sharing!

I’m with you on so many levels! I’m not a reader at all, I’m not the least bit flexible. I despise water . Even cold, it’s nasty. I have so much in common with you!

If you don't like yoga you should try barre it's a little bit of stretching at the end but it's awesome. This was a fun relatable video!

I can't do a bridge either! I used to always dread having to do those while stretching in gymnastics and cheer cause my coaches would try to fix them because my flexibility was so bad.

Chocolate Milk is actually really nutrious for you. It is an excellent source of protein, vitamins and minerals and aids in recovery after hard workouts.

I'll take any of the plant-based milks over dairy. Dairy is for baby cows, not for humans. The dairy industry is absolutely horrific.

I too love milk-just regular. Even when I lived in the dorms when I was in school I always had to have milk in the fridge…I love how real you are… I am 55 and going to start taking an adult gymnastic class. Very exciting. Best wishes with school and the tour...

I'm a Medical Laboratory Scientist! I analyze human samples (blood, urine etc...). I was diagnosed with osteoarthritis when I was 26 which has slowed my athletic ability, but I still love watching sports. I wanted to be a gymnast when I was younger, but I had zero body awareness and I'm 5'9 now so it was probably never in the cards :) I also hate mushrooms, and most fish, but I do love sushi now! I'm a pet mom - I will never have kids, and I have 3 cats and 2 dogs. Love your videos and thanks for sharing! Good luck in Utah!

I am also not flexible in any of my joints like you and could never do a bridge or the splits when I was a gymnast but I was really powerful on vault and floor. I quit because I thought I would never be good enough because of it. You’ve proven that wrong. I wish I could go back and tell my younger self.
