The couple is seeking a $200,000 investment in return they're offering a 20% equity stake in 'Catch’n’Release' - a device that allows boat anchors to have little - no impact on our seafloor and coral reefs. The Sharks are certainly interested but want to know why Peter sat on it for 17 years... 🦈
Company Website: catchnrelease.com.au
An international sensation, Shark Tank AUS features entrepreneurs pitching for investment in the Tank from our Sharks, five venture capitalists willing to invest their own money in exchange for equity.

In a statement to SmartCompany, Richards said it was “mutually agreed” to not continue with the deal, but he has continued to support and mentor the business as it grows. “After the filming, Margaret and Peter found a quality manufacturer here in Australia. They were more rejuvenated again to continue on the journey,” Richards said. “I had some serious concerns about the short-dated patent but have offered to help mentor and to continue supporting them on their journey. It is a great product which also has a great environmental impact on our Great Barrier Reef”. The pair say the business has now come into its own, and they are currently in talks with overseas contacts who could help the product go global. “We’re looking to get the product out there with the three years of patent time we have left, make some money, and then retire,” Margaret says. I've always believed that when an individual has gotten to a certain place in life, that they should help others or the world in some way. Leave this world a little better off than when you found it, and this video shows three people who have done just that. This planet and our prosperity is a gift from God, and it is our responsibility to be stewards of this gift and to do our little part when possible.

I’ve got a better anchor idea than this one and it’s got the release mechanism in the anchor itself so it doesn’t have a a chunk of metal to drop down a line to activate it it goes into production next month here in America and I only have three years into it not 13 I’m glad they got their anchor to selling but my anchor is a lot easier to operate than this one

This is an excellent product and well done for inventing it. I can't imagine the thought that would have gone into it. For an anchor to be pulled straight up to cause minimal damage on hoisting it up is wonderful. But there is still the problem of anchoring it initially. The anchor will drag along the ocean floor until it becomes anchored and this causes damage too, not just when it is hauled up. For that reason I can't seeing this being made mandatory.

Been watching these and following up with the businesses, apparently the Powells kept their hands on the table. They knew there was a responsibility with themselves being the face of the company and how things ran so they stayed on board the company, and the deal fell through. But they still have the sharks as mentors. Good for them

Yes , but this sharks only care about money... There little eyes lit up, by hoping they can change the law. to make it illegal not to have one. But sometimes greed is a good thing, if it forces change, but no one but the inventor can claim any credit for wanting to save the reef, the sharks only care about the bottom of there wallets, not the bottom of the sea
