2000-05’ 3G Mitsubishi Eclipse Throttle Body Removal

In this video. I show you guys how to clean the throttle body. All I am cleaning it with is part cleaner that you can get from your local parts store. I always go to O'Reilley's, they always hsave the best prices and I already know the guys that work there because I am in there so much!

You said the idle was higher, has it stabilized by now, and if not, maybe you should disconnect the battery so the ecu relearns driving patterns. I actually notice my V6 running higher now, but after all the work I did, I'm not surprised it's all wonky now. Having removed the coolant hoses, you could've removed the other stuff too for a real deep clean. Those clamps are horrid, and they leave the factory facing away from mechanics.. Thanks Mitsubishi. The sensor with the small c clamp like clip can be removed with a tiny flathead screwdriver. Just gotta keep a hand on it so you don't lose it, and if you do.. well, unless you're taking ramps, the sensor will be intact without it.

Wat kind of screws is that for the iac valve?

I know its a year later but for anyone else reading, theyre just little JIS head screws, be careful because using a philips driver in JIS screws can cam out easily and ruin the X shape. I think theyre just little M4 x 0.7 pitch screws. Every new IAC should come with new screws, mine did and I got an Intermotor from advance Auto.

Skittles I watched a video of oldskool funk on cleanin a throttle body. An fro what he said, is to becareful when cleaning that throttle an not touch that flap I guess you could call it. Because it would mess with the computer. Thus you would have to hook it up to a computer to correct the problem. Did you have any problems with strawberry after thos video. I ask becuz my lil bro passed his 3g to me an kept up with it. An I really dig the 3g movement/ lifestyle. An can you do a video on flushing your heateercore on a 3g. Thanks

You made a cleaning video that did not show you cleaning, what to use, what parts needed cleaning and what you used to clean them. This was a disassembly and reassembly video, not a cleaning video. As Greg Rogers points out, there are no screws on an IAC valve, there are bolts. But life is full of lessons, DON'T STOP!

... I just replaced my belts, but it seems like the pulley is missing a nut to lock it completely in position can you please upload a video showing the outside of the pulley, I want to compare it to mine and see if that is the problem I have. Thanks in advance!
