Working on a 2000 Ford Expedition with the 5.4L Triton getting oil in the radiator. Thought it was the intake, so I took the intake manifold off and really couldn't find anything wrong. Researched forums and really couldn't find anything about oil in the radiator, so I posted on social media to see if any of my Ford friends had experienced this before. A friend of mine, after seeing the picture of the oil filter being wet, suggested the oil filter adaptor gasket because it shares the lower radiator and oil filter lines. Sure enough, I think this was my problem. The oil filter adaptor gasket. Replaced it, went back with the original intake manifold with new gaskets and flushed the cooling system with some Simple Green and distilled water seven times. While flushing, never did see any more oil in the radiator. So far, the reason for getting oil in the radiator was because of the leaking oil filter adaptor gasket. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching!
