2000 Chevy blazer drivers window not functioning

Same thing happened on my 2000 GMC jimmy 2wd and I checked the regulator mounts, they were solid, and before I checked the power I used the old tried and true Chevy method of give it a little whack with a stick or channel locks and it works now. I'm amazed. I tapped it lightly on the round parts of the motor, must've knocked the gears free!

Worked for me today after I had the torn rivet issue he had. I had to tap the motor to get it to free up

Thanks for the video, I pulled my door panel off and yup rivets pulled out. I tried a few taps on gears with screwdriver and hammer and some prying because my window was up. After drilling left 2 rivets out I then said what's to loose and just hammer tapped the motor while holding down on the switch and walla it started going down. I stopped and bolted the bracket with some small nuts n bolts I had. Works great. I soaked everything in oil and greased the tracks. Rolled up window and just make sure to not over go up. Just bring it up till it seals then a quick tap on the button is enough. Anymore and there is that flex you talk about. Again thanks for the video 😎👍🤘

How did you get it unstuck? Mine did the exact same thing. It pulled the rivets partially through the door and I can feel the motor trying to activate when I hit the switch.

I don’t really remember, I believe I spun the section that was riveted back into place and put some bolts in place of the rivets that came out.

I have a 2004 Chevy Blazer. I can control all windows from drivers side. All the windows work fine except the driver side. It wont go up or down. Is it the switch or the motor?

I wouldn’t be able to tell. It could be either. I would say take a test light and go to the plug that goes into the motor and see if the test light will light up when trying to move the motor with the switch. If it does it’s the motor, if it doesn’t it’s the switch.

I actually don’t mind the crank windows and manual locks and such. I’d rather not have the bells and whistles myself but it’s hard to find used vehicles from people that think like me
