Hi Dave! I really appreciate you taking the time to put this video together. I joined KZbin in November 2020 and made my first video. Before then, I would watch a video here and there but didn’t really know much about the community. I came across your channel when I saw the video you did on your card room. I was instantly impressed with you and your approach to the hobby. Sure the items were really cool, but more so I enjoyed listening to the joy you had in showing them off and how you go about acquiring items. I am drawn most to channels where the collector is passionate about what they collect but also puts thought into their purchases. For me, the best collections are carefully shaped and curated. The collection is a reflection of the collector. When I see it, I get an idea about you as a person. The 1961 Topps set build was another video I connected with. The 61 and 62 Topps sets are my favorites from that era. Those were the last two years the Yankees won the World Series in the decade, and it was the teams that had Mantle and Maris. Two Yankees I admire. My late father was also 13 and 14 years old during those seasons and like thousands of kids at that time, he was an avid Yankees fan. I have been consistently making videos since November 2020. I typically do a video a week showcasing vintage cards or other items from my collection. I like the pace of that schedule because it enables me to be a fairly active community member who not only makes content but also views and comments on other channels. I have let my channel grow organically as I am not really interested in a large amount of subs who really aren’t actively watching. I prefer commenting back and forth. I also have made a few friends in the community that I text with, but have remained a private person. Thank you for doing this video. I hope you will make more videos because content like yours is appreciated by me and others. Take care, Terry

Interesting story about your journey. Really enjoyed it. I’ve gone through the ups & downs with the You Tube thing myself. Sometimes I’m loving it and put out a bunch of videos, then sometimes certain things annoy me and I lose interest for a while. Overall it is a great place to share this hobby, cause like you said, most of my friends and family do not care about my collection at all. 😂 I’ve just found a nice comfort zone posting what I want, when I want, not worried if it only gets 5 views or 50 views. It really is enjoyable having that mindset.
