Me too!!!!!!! I first heard this at his 1974/75 New Year's Eve concert in Detroit, Michigan b4 he walked onto the stage! Wasn't sure if God was showing up OR Elvis!!!!!!!! It was THAT monumental & epic a performance of this piece of music! 86K ppl in attendance & everybody in my section wanted 2 borrow my pair of binoculars! Women throwing their panties & bras at him in the front! A concert I will NEVER forget! He was the GREATEST & most FAMOUS performer on the planet in my eyes, at the time!

Richard Strauss composed this piece in 1896. He conducted the first performance in Frankfurt in November 1896. I don't know what I would give to be able to watch the reaction of the audience who listened to this masterpiece for the first time.❤
