can definitely see the light scatter when the fog lights are on. you can see extra light shining above the beam pattern, and this is enough to light up buildings and high signs.

great vid man this just what i was looking for my left headlight is out on my 04 g35x i have the stock hids also. I want to switch out the hid with some led headlights could you make a vid on how do that if so that would be great

Thanks for the comment. I will probably not do a video on changing out the HIDs for LEDs as I like the HIDs and will probably keep them. But you access them in the same manner as my video shows for the fog lights except the HIDs are the housing at the top. The HIDs have a ballast that controls the voltage into the light but you will not need to do anything with that and can probably leave it alone. The LEDs will come with their own ballast that you just need to mount somewhere out of the way and then hook up the connection. I believe it is a D2R.

Great video. I will upgrading my g35 fog light. Got one question, where does the exhaust/hot air go? Is there a space inside the fog light area where it can escape? Or there is space or between fog and low beam area where heated air can dissipate l?

There's a little space under the cap but not much. Mine are still working. I done use my dog lights very often.

Thank you for the video. If course my headlight on my 03 . G35 had to go out the week of Christmas with a blizzard coming. :). Honestly my car has been a great car low miles very good car. If you had to take it in to the dealership what would they charge for this? I don't know if my husband gonna have the patience for this one. Fingers crossed 🤞. how much more brighter are they than stock? looking to get something like this to replace that ugly yellow with stock

The fog lights are much brighter than the stock bulbs. When the high-beams are on it seems about equivalent to the stock high-beams although the light is so white that it appears to illuminate the road better. I do have a concern with the fog lights however because even though they didn't appear to illuminate upward when pointed at the wall, when driving at night they seem to illuminate up much more than stock (I notice the light reflecting off of buildings as I go by). I haven't yet had anybody flash me for blinding them but I'm concerned about it and usually will turn off the fog lights if I see oncoming traffic. Also, the HID bulb is noticeably "warmer" (more yellow) than the 6000K LED so now I'm in the market for a new HID bulb for the low beam. Thanks for the comment and when I get around to it I'll try to take some pictures at night.

I installed led lighting system on my G35 coupe. They last for about a year and stopped working. I believe the heat the builds inside the housing has no where to go and the fan built into the unit tries to cool the system as best they can but, with no way to evacuate the heat. Overtime the led system failed.

It probably depends on the quality of the LED lights. Mine are still working years later although they are my fog/high beams and do not get used all the time.

@@JRsGarage I had them a few years ago and they lasted about a year. I researched the brand (as I always do before I purchase something) and pulled the trigger. They worked fine for a year but, stopped working after a year. I tried switching the bulbs from one side to the other and that didn't work. I came to the conclusion that the fan on the led bulb can't expel the heat do to everything placed inside the housing and the cover that has to be screwed back onto the foglight/ highbeam housing doesn't give the heat anywhere to go. I'm installing a Morimoto hid system (5000k) into the foglight area. Since my factory lowbeams are factory hid system, their should be no problems.

Circuit breaker? Use a multimeter to check voltage at the plug.

The plate for the H4 housing came with the LED bulbs. What converter are you referring to@

The ballast also should come with the LEDs you purchased.

Soo the connector for the h4 is inside were the old bulb is ?

Yes, there's a screw on cap that covers the bulb and the bulb connector. Once you take off that cap you'll see the back of the connector and you can change out the bulb.

Depends if you're G35 is equipped with HID or not. The HID bulbs are D2R. I'm not sure if there is a LED equivalent.

JR's Garage I have a set of black housing headlights that came with halogen bulbs. Didn’t take the HIDs from my OEM housing set. I just don’t know what kind of bulb they are

Sorry, I couldn't tell your what type of bulbs would fit your aftermarket lights.

You can probably go into any auto parts store and ask what type of bulbs are used in the non-HID G35 and they can tell you.

No, the fog/high beam uses a standard bulb, not HID.

Passenger side headlight went out, Nothing works but the turn signal. I took out the entire headlight unit to check for leaks because there was condensation in it. But now the lights won't wokr😕
