Great video… clear, short and very good angles and lighting. Nicely done. Now I’m going to search your posts for tips on a driver door (only) that won’t unlock with the fob. The other doors are fine. I hear it click but it doesn’t actually unlock. Gotta use the key.

Hot tip for you. There are 2 little metal dots on top of a blade fuse that you can use to determine if a fuse is bad WITHOUT pulling the fuse out. Take a digital multi meter and set to VOLTS (not ohms). Park your black (-) lead on any ground and leave it there (car frame works). Then probe both metal dots on the fuses with the red lead. You should read 12V on both dots if the fuse is good. (Don't use ohms setting to read across both dots of a fuse when it's in circuit because if the fuse is blown you might inject voltage into your meter and damage it)

I checked my fuses with voltmeter and realized that some don't have 12V coming through the small metal dots. But the fuses seem to look fine by inspection. What else should I check to make sure right voltage is getting to those fuses?

@@juliustay2541 I don't know of any blade fuses that don't have the two little access holes on the top (the flat part you grab to pull it out). But you can always get two sets of lugs, male and female, and crimp them onto two wires to extend them out of your fuse box so you can still check the fuse in circuit. Note: even a small amount of corrosion on the contacts of the fuse or its socket will add up to a large voltage drop when used in a high current circuit.

Great video. Thanks. Question , I have rav4 2001 edge, I just replaced the key (old keylock it was busted) Now when I press the keylock button it only locks -unlocks all three doors except the two front ones..any idea what to check before visiting car electrician ??? Thanks.

I have a similar issue my key fob only unlocks but won’t lock. When I try to lock manually it only locks the back doors not the front ones. Were you able to fix this issue?

One door on my 2004 RAV4 is having issues. The window goes down very slow and the the door is not unlocking. It clicks but it doesn’t unlock. The power seems low. Just one door.

Doors lock when I hit the button but when I hit unlock nothing happens. Good video on fuse location I'll check them out. Otherwise if anyone has any ideas feel free to comment.
