Bought a used 2010 SE with 43k for my wife in 2011.... We've put 75,000 miles on it, ZERO mechanical issues 7 years later.... I've upgraded the stereo, added a rear camera and sheepskins, and replaced normal wear items like brake linings and tires... Best $24k I ever spent.... Also have a 2004 Camry Solara SE V6 with 155K that show no signs of its age either..... Can't go wrong with a Camry.....

07 to 09 are different power train from 10 to 11; 07 to 09 engines are plaqed with oil burning issues

Good review....but why bring up an issue that was handled properly? 5 independent testers cleared Toyota. Guess when all this stuff hit the media wide open...booooom, the big3 bailout and who conteols the media..that president dude in the white house ;) Voluntary recall in effect for some Lexus models and Land Cruiser models Just to make the brake dominant over gas pedal.

This generation is by far the worst for Toyota Camry. If you are considering a used car, please be mindful that the 2007-2009 4-cylinder engines on these Camrys have a poor piston ring design and the engines will consume oil. Toyota issued a customer service program to extend the warranty on the engines and Toyota did provide a fix, however, there were time and mileage limitations. So, if you’re buying a used 2007-2009 model, find out if the engine has had the piston rings replaced at a Toyota dealer. Also confirm that it’s the original engine that came with the car. Oftentimes, the engine fails due to oil starvation and the previous owner replaces the engine with one from a salvage yard. The used engine will have the same piston ring problem and you’ll end up having to either junk the car or spend thousands rebuilding that engine. This generation of Camry also had problems with sticky dashboards and failing sun visors. Both were also covered under customer service programs but they have likely expired. Please do your homework before considering this generation. Better yet, avoid this generation. This generation was definitely a black eye for Toyota.

158 Hp is "peppy" on the Camry but 166 Hp is "slow" on the 06-07 Accord !?!? My 07 Accord is a much better car in almost every regard over my former 03 Camry which I had to replace because of need for excessive repairs.

the camry is just so "regular" in my fathers words, quote: "i never want to buy a camry because every time i see one i think of a taxi, i dont want to have that image that im some sort of uber fanatic or something, it would shame the family" end quote.
