I saw a test where they tested K&N filter vs OEM-style and the reuslt was that the K&N lets in alot of fine particles in the engine compared to the OEM air box but it does have less restriction to airflow. Those filters are just for track purposes and not Daily driving unless you wan't almost unfiltered air into your engine

2007 grand cherokee crd owner here. Im running bilstein/ome 4" lift. no engine tunes yet or mods. I can still avg a little over 20 mpg hwy with just under 33" cooper stt maxx Canada is still selling some tunes. Green diesel engineering recently cancelled the 3.0 crd tune.... bummmmmmmmer for us

I never knew they made these diesel cherokees until i ran into one for sale looks like it was taken care of it has 110,000 miles. I can’t seem to find any reviews of the reliability of the engine and drivetrain and if it’s expensive on maintenance/replacement parts. Thank you

2007-2009 are the only years with the mercedes benz 3.0 CRD. Later years are the "ecodiesel" type from a different manufacturer which they still spec today. You could get a commander in the same years same engine.

Jonathan Watje let me know if you find a decent tuner. I’ve found a couple, but nothing that bypasses the EGR and allows for DPF delete. Those two fixes will seriously improve the fuel economy. Green Diesel Engineering made tunes for these to bypass the EGR and allow DPF removal, but they got shut down in the US by the EPA. Let me know if you find a source to bypass these emission control systems to get better fuel economy and power

@@justiniund4496 no problem, I haven't bought it yet through them, but on the facebook groups they seem to be reccomend the most (atleast in the USA otherwise if your out of the states GDE is the way to go)

Don't use high performance filters. They will no cach the fine products .that wear out . So many documents and videos. On not to use. Yes get air. But loss on filtration (
