Hi all, this is the vehicle of one of my subscribers. This Benz has some codes for low boost and high boost problems, so check the first part and please leave comments with your thoughts.

Thank you! Very Informative. I am interested in seeing Part-2 of this video - hoping you have one. Very Timely, too. I have a 08 E320, at 130K mi with similar problems. Iam the first owner, maintained for all recommended service at dealer until warranty and then at an independent shop xMB working only on MB in NC. It all started with replace fuel filter message, no CEL. Replaced Fuel Filter, and Boost Hose as it had a couple of cracks - and ever since then have been getting P2016-001(fuel rail pressure too high), P2017-001 (Fuel Rail Pressure too low) and P2047-001 Fault Codes - using a autologic test equipment at an Indie in TX. The car drives fine at low speeds upto 45-55mph on flat roads but does not respond to stepping on the pedal. Once you hit an up-hill or step on the gas pedal - the car becomes unresponsive and shuts off. It starts once again - but then does the limp mode dance. After the initial diagnosis at an indie, in TX, then took it to MB-Dealer, two trips to dealer, 10+ days, and $600 down, they do not have any other diagnosis than what we already knew. Dealer's initial diagnosis and solution to P2016 is - contaminated fuel (???) - wanted to bring down the fuel tank to clean it and then proceed with further test, they will not specify how they arrived at the determination of contaminated fuel, when pressed for the determination in writing it changed to "possible contamination" . I did not authorize "colonoscopy" for a "tooth-ache" so the car is back at another indie awaiting diagnosis.... and the saga continue, hope to have some closure soon. Pardon me - am frustrated at the lack of commitment from MB and Corp-MBUSA to accept any responsibility and unwillingness to help, as I search the web - noticed a . there is an issue with Fuel Leak with some models of ESeries, MB extended warranty and replaced gas tank/pump. Unfortunately, my vehicle does not fall under this category, although I have the issue of fuel leak when topped all the way. b. Apparently the limp/boost problem is common amongst - MB being fully aware - is ignoring the issue. Offering to give me $250 toward fixing the problem - when it may cost over 50times this amount to fix it -. Hope to garner enough support from affected owners - to make a stronger case with MB.

Had the same problem with mine. I cleaned the codes too and the shop couldn’t tell what to do until it finally screwed up and I left the code in the ECM. Turned out to be the intake manifold flaps. Works great now. Until the next time that is...

Great Video. I noticed your results on the pressure positioner test where 976 and 1013hpa. Mine are 920 and 1010hpa. I'm guessing this is turbo failure (not able to spin freely - creating a vacuum) rather than carbon build in the cats? Or could it be the boost pressure sensor? What do you think?

Awesome video how do you like Xentry? Can you program an instrument cluster on a ML350 for milage? I can do it with anything I’ve tried.

Is this a new cluster? Or are you trying to use the same, or a used one? Need more information to understand what do you need to do! If is a used one, you can’t! Well you’ll need to have programmer and read, Virginized and write the new info. Make sure to collect the original info from cluster and move that to donor cluster.

If it has less than 250km and you have an online Xentry Flash account, yes it will program the cluster and pull the correct odometer value from the EIS.

P2099 same as 2359? I keep getting p2099 and then my car goes into limp mode. I just did the oil cooler job..
