This is why i love Japanase custom cars; they focus more on balance, weight, handling, stability and rigidity then on just raw power

The car gets the lap record at Gunsai, beating 911s, an AMG GTR, R35 GTR and mk2 NSX, and people still think they know better and suggest engine swapping. Daft.
Good info on the GR86! RTV seems to be an issue in JP cars as well, but it's cool to see Revolution break down their philosophy on the car overall. I hope for subtitles soon!

Just amazed at how far this platform has already come in regards to implementations to mitigating all of the limiting factors of maximum speed/grip ratios. The front suspension/adjustability and stabilizer mounts just the overall potential this platform offers to each build/tuner. It really showcases how much potential there really is here when people are already this passionate/determined to offer something worthwhile this quick into a cars platform/induction.

Considering the age, Tsuchiya-san’s performance is absolutely incredible!!!! It’s pretty hard for the fans who wish him both a more enjoyable life and keeping the touge attack at the same time😂

I've been telling everyone for a decade... stiff chassis and compliant dampers makes a car FAST on imperfect streets.
8:27 Revolution discusses using the OEM stock dampers, which has great bump & rebound. They use aftermarket HAL springs with softer spring rates to counter the light-weight of the car. 11:29 Revolution shows the custom OEM stock dampers on custom upper mounts that let the car sit lower without sacrificing suspension travel height.

The suspension setup looks so dialed in on this car! The way it absorbs all the bumps perfectly and doesn't bounce at all is insane! If this had a bit more power, it would be a MAOU contender for sure!

you can tell how much he appreciates the weight reductions and suspension tunes as he goes from the down to uphill to transitioning straights. The car just holds up to that section really well based on the tune.

Interviewer came out swinging lol, "so these engines blow up, right?" 😂 Very interesting information about the strainer and sealant blockage. Shame that is happening to a brand new car.

It looks very precise explanation in the first half of the video about tuning the GR86 but unfortunately I can’t read and listen Japanese! The auto translation is very poor!!! Very impressive to see Tsuchiya-San, Nob and Orido flying in Gunsai!!! Wish you all long lives and prosperity🙏🏻
So we have two main issues on this car : 1) oil strainer getting clogged by excessive sealant application 2) drop in oil pressure in right turns
@turbo________ Жыл бұрын
the oil strainer is shown to be not a engine breaking problem, the low oil pressure in right turns is bad tho, toyota/subaru need to update the oil pan/pickup and offer it to people who already have the car

It’s sad that Toyota and Subaru don’t listen to people like you with brilliant ideas 💡 what are you going to do with the front wheelhouse when air pressure build up ? Should you cut part of the door ? Will you put a flat undertray under the car ? For better aerodynamic

0:26 I hear you broke your engine? The protruding packing clogs the strainer. The seal cannot be removed because the mesh of the strainer is recessed. When the oil shakes like circuit driving, the seal is easy to peel off. The seal sticks to the net, so you have to suck it off.
@眠い-r4h Жыл бұрын
3:10 Regarding engine temperature control The oil cooler was attached as normal, but the performance was not enough. It is desirable to replace it if you run on a circuit like a 2l engine.
