If you don’t have a gauge. A good test is to shut off the engine. And turn the key back on. And see how long oil pressure holds on the engine. Mine holds pressure for 5 seconds. Some jokers came by the shop with a new Land Rover (with oil pressure gauge) and asked why the oil gets hot as soon as you start it. - it was reading “h” as in high pressure. ....

Mike only two reasons for low oil on a. 200 TDI , bad serviceing or very high mileage, I'm running my 110 with 218 K . Just run in 🤣

I know a lot of designs use the oil filter to regulate pressures. One more reason to use quality filters.

I thought it was common knowledge that 200/300 tdi engine's are 10psi per 1000 rpm. learned decades back from an English teacher we all had. What do you think is common idle wise for the 200/300tdi pressue wise cold and hot? As per usual keep the videos coming, wish we could do it with our insurance!

From the workshop manual With engine running at idle check oil pressure which should read 1.76 bar (25.87 lbf/in2). So you are pretty close!
