I never did as my portable hard drive failed, just replace the whole fuel assembly

Hep Paul. This is a great video. My Truck is making the same sound. Will there be a misfire code If there is air in fuel lines? Or does a Misfire code and this sound simply mean there is a bad injector?

Paul Dark ended up upgrading the old primer to the new Bosch design but would still be interested in seeing how you rebuilt.

Yeah, I would have to record new video, mine still failed later because I wasnt careful enough (was doing it in on the road under load) so now I just recommend to replace the filter housing, its quicker

Was the truck taking forever to pickup speed? And that fixed/help it?

Yes, once it wouldn't move at all, it was cold may be why, I would press gas pedal and it would barely move, after a while I got CA message as for my transmission on dash (Clutch Abuse, not enough power to move...)

What fixed it was combination of things but mainly replacing fuel filter housing, all rubber grommets on lines that go to that fuel filter housing.

Hey my 2008 International 4300 is kind of shaking when building speed and it went dead on me an smoke came out the pipes but eventually let me start driving again. My exhaust filter light is on and also a upside down triangle light is on...what's my problem?

I have actually replaced the FUEL FILTER HOUSING as a complete unit after rebuilding primer unit on another one. But check for another things first, I showed it all in the video

Lol I just bought one to replace my shitty cummins freightliner I noticed today after getting off the hwy going to an idle stop waiting for the traffic light. The engine sounded like my cammed LS2 😅😂😂 Honestly I was too concerned because I always leave my self hella space from any car ahead of me so I just throttled to move forward and I didn't feel anything wrong. When the light went green I let space ahead of me and I throttled pretty hard to see if I could feel any power loss but felt nice and torquey. I'll double check those lines tomorrow tho.

@@rootkitxx yea bro I'll write to you back tomorrow. I have a suspicion that the strainer is possibly filthy because the owner I bought it from told me he dosnt change fuel filter with his oil service.. more then sure that strainer hasn't been opened since God knows when

@@MRD0889 replace fuel filter and clean the strainer, but do it asap, if there is restriction in the system it puts lots of strain on injectors as in this motor they act as a high pressure fuel pump (you don't have hp fuel pump, only hp oil pump that drives the injectors in this motor)

@@rootkitxx okay so I opened the fuel filter and I also opened up the strainer which was on my Electric fuel pump I saw that I have a DT466 so my strainer is in an electric fuel pump. Believe it or not it wasn't that bad lol. Strainer had a slight gold tint on the lower side. That's where I found some debris, once I put everything back together I noticed there was a sensor under the fuel filter housing that was disconnected also notice a shiney new part.. I believe it was was oil pressure solenoid. So I contacted the previous owner and he sent me a receipt of the last repair that was done back in October. They replaced the seals on the injector pucks the IPC on the oil rail and the oil pressure solenoid. Looks like that fun job had left the mechanic somewhat fatigue and he had forgot to connect the sensor under the fuel filter housing. Gonna take it for a nice drive later today but first thing is first .. I need some food lol I'll get back to you
