I am currently a proud owner of a 2008 Saab 9-3, and it such a beautiful, reliable vehicle. I get compliments from everyone that rides with me. The acceleration is out of this world for a sedan, and it handles corners like a dream. This 9-5 builds upon everything that I love about my own vehicle, and I would buy this newer Saab if I had the cash at hand. I whole-heartedly recommend it to anyone looking for a new vehicle! I really hope that they get back on solid ground, and that people begin to recognize the quality of the Saab brand.

Thtblkbrit I've only owned mine for little over a year now, so I can't completely answer your question. But mine has 82k on it and I've only had to do periodic maintenance like with any other vehicle. I haven't noticed any problems. When I bought the car, the previous owner told me the same thing: just periodic maintenance (new tires, brake pads, spark plugs, etc.). For 8000? I think that's a great deal.

Hey thanks! As long as the carfax checks out ill deff acquire it. Theyre very rare where I am and I generally see very few Saabs including later model ones. Get that V6 outta there! The TTiD is the way to go on these cars. Great hp, insane torque, and completely unbelievable economy. As I'm told, it runs on the blood of bärsärk warriors, and is lubricated with the ancient tears of viking gods. That and the twin turbos makes it quite the engine. You see, one of them is low pressure, and the other is high pressure. That means one is working in the low revs to give you ultra-cheap cruising, and when you gear down and bury your foot, the super-sharknado-turbo kicks in and every living thing within a 25-mile radius gets to enjoy a rush of pure adrenaline and an orgasm, all while you go WRRRRRRR down the highway in supernatural speed yet complete serenity, wrapped in luxurious leather. Remap the ECU and you'll defy the fundamental laws of the universe even further. The SAAB 9-5 TTiD is also the perfect getaway vehicle. Even if the cops get on your tail you can just wait for them to run out of fuel, and then disappear into the horizon. Plus, it's stealthy as fuck so it's ideal for anyone who wants to stay under the radar. Everyone knows that if you drive a SAAB, you're a dentist and not a drug-dealing murderer who just robbed a bank. The constabulary wouldn't hinder a dentist on his/her way to save a persons 3rd lower molar, even if they were speeding. They are HEROES, for god's sake. With all that said, I must warn you. Stick this in second gear and go hard against the planetary rotation while chanting the Swedish National Anthem backwards, and the XWD will send both yourself and your passengers warping into the dimension of G'nit N'egni. That's all I can tell you, for no-one has returned. TL;DR: I really like this car. In short, it's magnificent.

Well I think Saab was always one step ahead, that was their doom. They never had enough models like Audi, Mercedes or Volvo. They never were in the SUV boom like Volvo was with the XC90. And to be honest most people never liked their design, Saab was like I said always futuristic and mechnical ahead of the time but people want practicality or luxury or reliability or just a cheap car. Saab was never really cheap or extremly reliable because Toyota were faster in that spot, if you wanted a luxury car you still get a german like Mercedes, BMW or Audi or something like a Cadillac, and if you wanted practicality you just bought a truck from Ford or Chevy with a V8

My '08 Saturn Aura that retailed for probably ~$22,000 new has the same door chime as a $100k+ 2018 CTS-V. It's minor, but wild when you think about at the same time. Even more so when you consider GM has been using that chime since like, what, 2001? Lol at least Ford has tried to put some effort into differentiating their chimes among brands and models lol.

I love Saab exterior design, every single car, but when i look at the console and all the switches and buttons and handles etc etc....i realize why almost nobody wanted to buy those cars. They were good cars but just didn't even come close to BMWs and Mercs in terms of interior design and quality. Even this one, look at all the black plastic everywhere. Simply terrible interior.
@iSchmidty138 жыл бұрын
The nextinline I think it's a matter of taste, I prefer plastic interiors over glossy wood on everything. I agree that most modern SAAB interiors leave a lot to be desired, but imo they hit the nail on the head with the 2nd gen 9-3 interior! And I certainly wouldn't call this entire 9-5 interior terrible, only the screen UI and the radio/climate buttons.

In Italy i 've never seen a new 9-5..and she's beautiful!
@MJ_986410 жыл бұрын
I don't care for the 9-5. Looks kind of blocky.. Still, can't wait for the new Saabs to come out... Let's hope N.E.V.S. (The company that now owns Saab; National Electric Vehicle Sweden) does a great job, and sells Saabs in the US. Already saving my money.. :D
