Do I have to remove the frame brace, or can I get the pan of without doing so.

I don’t know why people say it’s a “flush”. Your not flushing, your draining the pan and changing the filter. Total fluid capacity is +- 9 quarts. Flushing is a bad thing with a lot of miles.

9 quarts? are you sure you referencing the correct transmission/ vehicle? 6 quarts is from a dealer database.

Veyron640 it has a lot of fluid in the transmission besides what’s in the pan. Valves, clutch packs, lines, cooler and torque converter. Google it. Don’t trust a dealer. I was a technician for 15 years

I just drained the oil and changed the filter on my 2011 rav4 , it was very dirty, black, was thinking about flushing all the fluid but saw your comment . You said is bad to flush the transmission fluid. Thank you .

@@davidherrera937 It's not bad to do a flush. It could be bad to do a power reverse flush with a machine especially if you didn't change the filter/screen first.

That being said.. Let it be known, that even Toyota dealer mechs.. do not flush RAV4s they drain and fill.. just saying

Call it a drain and fill and filter replacement. You drain the oil from the pan and changed the filter. You did not flush anything.

No WayOut seen your comment after I made mine. 👍

You just replaced a filter that was reusable. Toyota have a screen on this particular filter.

Why is the filter/screen made in China? Can I get one that's not made in China? Why do you call this a flush? Did you change the fluid multiple times or just once? If just once, then it's not a flush.
