Same here! It’s actually not much better in the Summer but there is a small chance it works in Summer. In the Winter it never works

my crv was hit on the same door, and tailgate wont open with the unblock button, but ONLY with the trunk button, super annoying because it will not work either if the car is running. will check if there is something wrong in that door too, thanks a lot

My back trunk door wouldn’t open. I got it to open actually by locking, Unlocking doors, sever times. Then the back passenger door got locked I manually unlocked it and the trunk door was unlocked again.

My crv was hit from back and now I replace the trunk but trunk doesn't open nor with thr button or with the key what's the issue do you know the fix?

Spoiler. It's the red tactile switch under the rubber pad on the tailgate. It starts to fail under 45F.

@elkeno That certainly seems plausible. Did you replace one and get it working? Is the replacement any better, or does it start failing also?

@@scottwood1143 Yes. I took it out and replaced it with another tactile switch salvaged from an old printer. This was a year ago. It works flawlessly now.
