Great video! Youre absolutely right, I was quote $300 for the front and $300 for the rear by my local shop!

It doesn't make any sense for shops to charge like that for some brakes.

After watching this tutorial a few times, I successfully changed out my rear pads last weekend, it was so easy! The screwdriver tip worked like a charm to loosen the old interior pads. Thank you so much for putting these videos up, they're indispensable!

That is GREAT! Sometimes it makes you wonder why they charge so much in a shop. 🙄

Good walk through on this, but reusing possible broken hardware is a no no. It's one thing to say we will replace it next time on your own car but a paying customer now thats a different story. If they end up with a pad wedged in crooked and have to pay for another brake job and you won't have to worry about having that customer agian.

When the piston has been pushed back and the brake fluid has been forced to the top. Will it drain back down or should I drain to the full level????
@OnlineAutoRepairVideos
@OnlineAutoRepairVideos 6 жыл бұрын
If the fluid has risen to the very top, you should remove some of it, but if it has risen just above the MAX line, that will be fine. Reason for this is you want to avoid brake fluid coming out once you apply the brakes because that fluid may come into contact with something hot.

Where is the battery location. I'm running a ham radio and need to do a direct connection
@OnlineAutoRepairVideos
@OnlineAutoRepairVideos 7 жыл бұрын
Hi Anthony, you have to jack up the vehicle on the left front, remove the front left wheel, remove the access panel that is towards the front of the car, then remove the battery. Why they did it that way, beats the heck out of me. it was like they designed the car, then someone said "What about the battery"? hope this helps!

Let me get this right, a brake rotor is put through so much stress and heat, but you're concerned about a screwdriver leaning up against it?🤣🤣 Glad you shut the video off🤣🤣
