Of course...it's a plastic part that breaks. Can we upgrade for metal? (I know you can't but would be nice) KZbin has been helpful to fix this. Thanks for listing the exact assembly parts!

Wow, this made of a plastic piece? LOL Good job Jack! Thanks for the show!

I would love to know how long the new part will last before it breaks again. The way it's built with the plastic insert it's designed to fail. There is a lot of strain on that tiny little plastic part.

So far so good. I haven't had a problem with the new one.

The dealership, wanted 300.00 per seat just for the parts, where did you get your parts. Ours is also a 2012 Honda CRV

Was the seat you were working on in this video the right seat latch or the left seat latch? Very helpful, thank you!

This one was the rear seat behind the drivers seat. I did this a long time ago and I think I did both sides but only filmed this one. So easy to do and saved a lot of money.

you can fix this using a cable tie without needing any new parts. FYI.
@garytucker8049 Жыл бұрын
I was curious about the same thing.
@robertgarland9342 Жыл бұрын
@@garytucker8049Don't go the cable tie way if you plan on lowering the seat on a regular basis. It's been known to damage the cables creating even more expense.

How about to find the company willing to refurbish the broken one but with the metal parts this time?
@jackofalltradesgarage11 ай бұрын
I wish, good luck with that. Did you hear about the 100 year old working light bulb and why they dont make them anymore. Once you go down that rabbit hole you will understand why they dont make parts last anymore.

Nice , on the new piece is it plastic, the same as the old piece?
