Hyundai and Kia were always the lower price lower quality cars. Nothing special but affordable. These past few years, however, they are absolutely stepping up they're game up and I've definitely been impressed. I got to test drive a 2020 Veloster N last year I was astonished. Good looking, quick, and had some pretty awesome tech like active rev match, two step launch control, valve controled exhaust, and a sequential shift light. Hyundai definitely earned a lot of respect from me that day, and hopefully you'll get to drive one of the Veloster Ns soon Zack; definitely take the opportunity when you get it for sure.

Yea design is good but reliability is terrible. There are dozens of engine recalls and dozens of class action lawsuits related to non collision fires. Hyundai and Kia have more engine problems than any other car makers.

As someone who has owned a Veloster for over five years and loves it, hearing you call it a "Velocitor" is like nails on a chalkboard. Do you pronounce "monster" as "monsitor" too?

I know you've done a few of the Elantra's before but I'd like to see your thoughts on the 6th Gen with the 6 speed manual. The base model 6th gens are shockingly barebones for a relatively modern car. You could even get them without A/C or cruise control. I learned to drive manual in my 2017 and I really have nothing to compare it to besides a 2010 civic that my friend graciously let me abuse for a couple hours to figure out what I was doing lol.
