2012 Infiniti FX50 S Drive and Review

( www.TFLcar.com ) The 2012 Infiniti FX50 S is a 390 horsepower all-wheel-drive luxury rocket on 21 inch wheels. So naturally we couldn't help but wonder if it's the ultimate ski car to take up to the top of Colorado's Loveland 12,000 foot Pass? It has everything you would want in the ultimate ski car except perhaps one small thing and that would be a turbo to help the engine breath better at altitude. They call this a review?!! They took the vehicle out, talked about very few likes and dislikes, provided a little commentary and it's over? I'm an FX35 owner myself and I was really disappointed with this review... these two boogers missed out on telling us about all the great features this vehicle has! Navi, Paddle Shifters, Heated and Cooled Seats, USB Port, DVD System, Bose Sound System and and and... I've enjoyed their other reviews, but guys, this was pretty sub par even for your normal standards...

I have a 04 Murano and have been thinking of upgrading to one of these specifically for the power. Car&Drivers 13.6@104 in the 1/4 mile is mainly why but worried that its gonna feel too cramped inside vs my current vehicle. Other option is a X5 Diesel with a tune 350whp/500wtq

I agree 110% with 09infinitig37x Me: 09 FX50S and I love my 50 as well! the fx has always pushed the limits from 03 to now. Not too many other cars on the road look like it and not too many cars can out perform it (for the same price )..... its the perfect combination of luxury, performance & utility! So stop complaining about shit you can adjust! And recline the damn back seat.

I love the FX50 - just curious, what's the biggest thing you ever fit back there? Can you fit a bicycle in the back? Maybe I'm asking to much for a sports SUV.

It'll be on the tight side but yeah the biggest thing I fit inside was a real Christmas tree one year.....was an awful mess to clean up but it fit...kinda snug though lol ...no it not too much to ask for just make sure its right SUV for you

Guilty pleasure indeed. I've always loved the FX. Its everything its not. I do miss the more aggressive, sharp angled headlights of the first gen tho.

All they did was talk about driving experience, how things fit in the car, speed and engine specs, price and a comparison to other cars, that isn’t a review, it’s short and sweet , when I want them to make it long and extra to not miss any additional addons that come with the car

The "S" name plate is on many other vehicles other then infiniti, you want to talk about a scam?? How about the Audi S5, its a car thats is over priced simply for having the "S" name plate and it only has 333 HP which I might add Is equivelant to that of a basic G37 coupe or BMW 335i coupe.

I believe you loose 3-4% power for every 1000 feet you gain in elevation in a naturually aspirated vehicle. That Infinity should still run ok. I had a 4 cylinder Tacoma up at 11,000 feet and it was scary slow. If you want to know slow, try riding a 175 cc Honda motorcycle from Ouray to Lake City over Engineer Pass.

hey youtube, if you like this video and you want one and you find one in good condition. Get one I saw a few months a infiniti dealer had a CPO. They are really hard for find, even more so if they are low mileage and well taken care of.
