My husband and I are redoing our front cabover from severe water damage on our 31ft leprechaun class c. We purchased it and found a marker light up front had a cracked lens, so water was coming into the cabover for quite some time and rotted out the entire front end. You said you dont like using the cheap vinyl termination bar covers because they allow water in. Im curious can you use the product you are talking about on the curved part of the front of the cabover? or is it rigid and designed for the straight termination bars? Can you refer me to the product you use that snaps in those bars so we can use that for the cabover? You guys do amazing work, and once we put the front of this RV back together, we have considered driving down to have you all redo the rest of the roof (we are on the VA coast near VA beach!) We have an epdm roof with goopy goop all over the caps and ac, nothing is leaking like the cabover, but we want this thing to last. Thanks for your videos. We subscribed.

When you screw the curved metal part on you want to be sure the screws are sealed. That piece is called corner molding. We use Lavanture XD946-1W. You can surf online for the insert trim. It will snap in and over the corner molding. Once you get the piece wrapped around and secured on the front radius caulk well and use a rubber caulk tool to rely push the caulk inside the corner molding. Once that cures apply a second layer over it. Those bunks are very vulnerable to leaks. Double caulk all around even if you have to use tape to make clean caulk lines. We use M1 by Chemlink. We do not use butyl tape at all. Thanks for watching

Howdy Scott. We used to do commercial roofs, so we don't go through nealry what we used to. I've never calculated how much roofing we go through. I got a big Georgetown in here now. We are replacing the entire roof and ceiling on this one ....uggh. Doing a ceiling in a class A isn't easy.

We use commercial sealants. Carlisle Syntec makes the rubber for Dicoe and they also make a commercial grade lap sealant. But you can use another brand as long as the rubber is cleaned thoroughly and primed. Caulk won't stick to any plastics, acrylics or roofing without primer.

@@fallcityjames1 Dicor is the only sealant that I have seen that fails in a few months. Whether it will adhere or not depends on the prep. Thoroughly wash and use a primer. You can wash the roof with denatured alcohol. Primers can be purchased online or from your local commercial roof supply house. Any brand primer will work. Most primer will work for EPDM, TPO and PVC. OSI Quad is a good choice and available at Home Depot. We use Chemlink products. Thanks for watching!

@@ez123ification EPDM is rubber. You'll know you'll have EPDM if there is black under the white or in your case tan. EPDM will also start to crack/spidering on the surface of the material. TPO/PVC is a flexible plastic that does not shrink, it has a longer life over EPDM. I'm from Portland, Ore, and I've decided to make a road trip to RV ROOF INSTALL sometime late next year to have him do my roof.

I bet that mold killer you sprayed would be more effective if you had taken the time to clean up all the debris that was covering the mold covered wood. Pretty shoddy.

Ha ha....we soak it down a couple few times. Killing the mold before we tear it all up prevent unnecessary airborne. Once it dries we can handle it with less worry. Then we remove what we need and soak it again and usually again before we assemble. Thanks for watching!
