Great video, you convinced me I should probably do this to my 14’ ILX performance. Do you have a video or info on swapping a non-tech package 2012-2015 ILX to a tech package? I think it requires a complete harness swap to leverage all the tech package components.

If sticking to factory do I need to install the crossovers as well?

I have a 15 model ILX. I have added a 12 inch sub. Is the best place to pull audio for that, a front speaker or can I use the factory sub signal? I don't want factory sound being cut off on the low end by the factory system

I have a 2017 ilx base. (have no idea if there is an amp with this or not. But the radio was working, no rear speakers , the front ones sound tinny like there is no umph behind it. So i bought a soony to just bypass. That turns on and same thing tinny front speakers. Is there an amp in this base unit somewhere i dont know about that runs from the radio harness downstreamm that this new radio is still going through? Is there a fuse just for the amp somewhere? is it the amp? I cant imagine it is all of the rear speakers and some odd connection in the front ones. Any ideas?

With the back speakers, do you just pop the speaker covers off and work out of the trunk or do you have to take apart the back seat somehow as well as the rear shelf to change them? Great video! 13 Acura ILX Base

Does JBL or any manufacture make a subwoofer for Acura tlx 2015 that fits in the factory spot which is in the rear?

yes jbl has a stage82 that will work you might need our bracket if you don't want to go crazy fabricating something yourself

Can you put the ELS audio system in the base ILX?

Els has more speakers so you'd end up with extras if you get the whole els setup, but you would have e the right sizes for the locations
