Great video. Helped me to replace the clutch on my daughters C1. First time I've replaced a clutch. I wouldn't have had the confidence to try it without this video. Many thanks
@needmoretimeplease2913 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your excellent video, it gave me the confidence to tackle the clutch on our C1. Everything went fine apart from the three bolts at the front of the bell housing..... the top one was seized solid and even after using penetrating fluid, still refused to budge. In the end I managed to get on it with a breaker bar with a length of pipe on and it snapped. Fortunately it was the head and unthreaded shank that came out so I left the threaded stub in there to act as an extra locating stud. The reassembling went fine but it too two of us and a trolley jack to lift the box back in, I also removed the mounting bracket off the end of the box to give me more room. Once again, huge thanks! Keep up the good work.

Excellent tuto pour le remplacement de l'embrayage d'un C1. Très bien filmé, très méthodique et tous les points délicats sont minutieusement décrit par les images. Merci beaucoup. Thomas

I always check this channel out when given a clutch to do at work on an unfamiliar (to me) make and model of car. It makes life so much easier. Why the red grease on every bolt hole on mating surface of the gearbox, though Kevin? I do grease input shaft and dowels. Is there a specific reason, or is it just the way you do it? Cheers

Seems like a lot of hard work for a little clutch. You can do these by undoing bell housing bolt. gearbox mount and leaver the gear box back. in half the time. Peugeot and Citroen..

Great video. Everything covered really well. Ever thought about adding audio? Mines just gone, same year. Normally I’d tackle most jobs but that job requires tools I haven got. What would be the cost of a new clutch installed. I know it’s a kinda geographical cost, I’m in Northeast. Thanks for the insight to my next bill.

What is the liquid you always drain at beginning?

Fuheezium That's the gear oil. He drains it so it doesn't run all over him while removing and installing. He refills at the end with fresh fluid
