Don’t forget to mention to use dielectric grease in the coil boot and anti seize on the plugs.

If you noticed, on most cars that are from the factory, they have none of the above items on the spark plugs and boots but if you have them or bought them, it wouldn't hurt to use it of course...

Now on my 2013 I had to take a screw driver and lift the taps then pull the wires. As for the right two spark plugs I did remove the air tube, screws at each end of the tube and a hold down screw on the right side of the tube and was able to lift out. Just got to wiggle it a bit.

How do you remove the wires that are "around" the one on the right? I have not been able to figure out how to safely get the wiring unhooked... The wires on the coils are simple but those additional wires going to items into the engine block are hard to figure out how to release on my 2014 version pg the 2.0L engine.... Thanks.

You don't touch the other wires, once the air intake hose is disconnected the plug is all clear..I wrote it in one of the notes here in the comments..

Keep your air filter clean and every few months add a gas treatment and a water remover in your gas tank ..

the one on the right you need to remove the clamp on the left of the intake tube and the 10mm bolt that holds the tube down on the valve cover and lift it out of the way towards the firewall and you will gain access to it

same tool, you make the space by moving the hoses over and the clamp on the intake tube gives you enough room.

I pulled off the cowl tray…popped off the wipers, some metal clips and 4 10mm bolts, 2 torx for mc reservoir….entire cowling came off in 5 min. Then you can easily get to the hose clamps for that air intake tube and lift it up enough to access the 3 and 4 cylinder. Make your life easy and remove that cowling….

You can get to all four plugs while leaving the cowling tray in place. It's the air tube that really needs to come off, and you can get to the lower hose clamp screw nearest the airbox by popping off the battery cover, then you can (barely) get access to that hose clamp screw. The upper hose clamp above cylinder 1 is easy, and once that air tube is out of the way, just use different length socket extensions as needed to get the coil packs and plugs out. It also helps to remove the dipstick and oil fill cap, gives better access to swing the ratchet handle.

#3 & #4 comes out the same way..you need to loosen up that Solenoid and move the assy and hose out of the way along with the wire harness..its not that bad..

Tune up..replace your spark plugs,air filter, clean your throttle plate and go buy a bottle of injector cleaner, gas treatment and a water remover and put them in your tank with a new tank of premium gas..run that for a week..and check your air in your tires with a proper gauge
