I just did this upgrade on my truck. I modified the harness from my jump seat to work with console, it's pretty simple. You can grab part with the switch and light from console harness and wire in into jump seat harness. The only downside is that if you reuse the jump seat harness the front USB and one 12v socket will not work. But this worked out good for me because I installed my trailer brake controller in this place.

To me this is a downgrade. I want to go the opposite direction. The center console offers no AC to rear passengers so I'd rather have the extra seat so ladies can get up close.

Any center console from any model of that year should fit. Even center consoles from 2014-2018 should work.

Not sure there is a part number. What I know for sure is that it will not be plug and play for ay jumpsear swap. You need a new harness to have all the other outlets work. Dr.harness has that harness needed

You have to buy 1, I used one from ebay and just shaved the plastic to fit the connection.

Real question. I just watched this Video and I was wondering if you have messed around with watching movies on the screen. If you have not, could you please try doing that. I’ve been thinking about doing that to my 2016 Silverado and I’m not sure what kind of kit I need or anything of that nature. Thank you!

You need the big screen, then you can watch them through a USB but the movies need to be I think in mp4 format in order for the truck to read it and it will work only when parked. You can also buy a harness kit to allow video in motion so while you're driving it will work. I can't remember who sells them but a simple Google search 2014 Silverado video in motion harness. Another way is to get your hmi fully unlocked so then you don't need the harness and it will work just by plugging the USB. Last way is having projection screen option aka apple car play/ android auto. That will display your phone into the. Radio screen, then there's some phone apps that allow to put more apps into the radio screen like KZbin, Netflix.

Same difficult, connections will be different and you will need the the extra parts that go on the dash. The harness will still, have to be custom so everything works on the jump seat

To just change to a center console you do not need to mess with the hmi module. But you will need a custom harness so all your plugs work. You can use your existing harness but not all your plugs will work as there aren't enough connections for everything on stock harness
