+Andrew Huynh It doesn't really need one. Sure, the shifts are ~20ms slower than they could be, but its got the same oddball auto-trans + clutch combo as my 2011 E63 and there's really very little wrong with it. I'm betting that the new model gets one, just because, but the old setup is surprisingly quick.

If you mean long term reliability, then that isn't worth discussing. It tends to differs from a model to a model from a year to a year and even depends on how you spec up a car and what engine you use. People who tell you that the cars made by manufacturer_X always break down and the cars made by manufacturer_Y always work, have no brains.

Taxes gets really high when importing a sports car because of our regulations. Engine displacement -,weight-, power- and emission taxes makes the car closer to 400k dollars that way. Since the car is all new, you don't get any usage deduction either, which leaves no reason to import cars from EU.

Too much compensation in America really. We complain about fuel mileage in a SUV when most of us are too ignorant to see that a hatch back does what we want and for cheaper. The only time most of the SUVs have been offroad is when the suburban mom mounts a curb xD

MotorTrend would have gotten a properly tuned Ferrari just for this track and the car would have came with a garage.

Same reasons someone buy a CTS-V or M5. They want a big enough car with a great engine that can fit the hole family. With this the dog and a stroller can fit aswell. Why drive something boring if you got the money?
