Thanks for the vid. You can turn the wheel so that the caliper side is out more so you aren't under the wheel arch and reaching, etc. geez, he sure did spray enough lube on the back of the pads.

Nice video, can you please share where you placed the jack when you lifted it from the front? I asked my local Subaru deal and I was told the 2015+ WRX doesn't have a safe jack point on the front of the vehicle.

Just a heads up, those calipers are for a Cadillac ATS and not a CTS-V. 1st Gen CTS-Vs had a 4 piston caliper with an external re-circulation line, which these do not have. They also lack the webbing these have in the corners. 2nd Gen CTS-Vs have 6 piston calipers, so they're not those either.

Can you use brembos off any vehicle for instance a dc5 rsx type r brembo. Same bolt pattern. I would imagine would just need new rotors pads and lines to make it work

Got the rotors from KNSbrakes.com these are the 05 STi rotors. They are bigger in diameter and lighter I did weight them ;-) that will be in my up coming vid. KNS sells the 4k rotors for the 15 as well weather or not they are same as the 05 STi rotors I'm not sure... Thanks for watching bud!

The description says these are from a Cadillac but you said here that they're from an '05 STI. What am I missing? If the line wrench is sloppy, likely it wasn’t a 10mm, but a 3/8. I notice brake line fittings are SAE for the most part EXCEPT banjo bolts.

That’s a 4 flute tap, they are self ejecting for shavings. You don’t really need to back off and clean the shavings out of the bit.

You aren't screwed you can revert the changes with new parts it it would be a lot of work guessing the whole hub assembly would need to be replaced. Personally if you know your going with a BBK down the road just wait for that.

not sure if this was said befor, but you need to change all your rubber o rings and such when converting a system from dot3,4 when using silicone based fluid such as 5.1 you sir will have a brake leak in your future when those o rings get eaten up

one trick i picked up in school when i was replacing an ABS module is to place a plastic or glove on the master cylinder and put the cap back on. that way you dont lose excessive brake fluid and make a mess, unless you are placing to replace the brake fluid, then let all hell break lose.

I didn't realize that the CTS-V calipers fit the axle on the newer cars. I have a 2008 STi track car - comes with Brembo's stock. But I think these are 6-piston calipers, no? Do you know if they also bolt to 2008-2014 "Impreza" axles?

Interesting. I never realized the CTS-V had 4 pot calipers before. I have Brembo's stock front and rear on my STi that work great on the track, but I have some Subie friends that have been looking at upgrades on older cars. The N Spec brakes are excellent for the pre '04 Subies. They're really nothing out there for '04 to '14 cars that I've heard about. BTW, nice channel - lots of cool projects.

3 D zero I know it doesn't bolt directly. It needs an adapter. However, you're using the old generation CTS-V calipers which are not great. The STi calipers are vastly better. Of course, yours are cheap, but as I track my STi frequently, stopping is more important than saving a bit of money.

I have 3 sets of wheels on the car now are the optional 17" STi wheels for the 2015 WRX (not in this video), the spacer is to aligned the rotor and caliper. The calipers were ground down to fit the 17's.

dude I feel your pain on the stripped line bolt. cheap Wrenches suck because they don't fit 100%. anyone reading this do yourself a favor and buy a super high quality wrench set to avoid what happened to this fine gentlemen and my self. craftsmen will do the trick or snap on to be on the safe safe side.

Abe.. the calipers he's using are Brembo. If you look closely at them, you'll see the large Cadillac script on the calipers and under that you can see tiny lettering that says Brembo. So yes.. they are Brembo.
