This video is what made me buy my Suzuki Gsxr-600 same year of this video for my first bike. Now riding it for 2 years i can say it's a amazing bike and hella fun to get on the throttle. I have never had any issues with the bike from the day i bought it, it is a reliable bike, i can assure you about that. I have put 16,000 miles on the vehicle without missing any oil changes and any maintenance on the bike. This bike is my commuter bike and my only transportation to work and back. I rode it thru rain, wind, and cold weather(45 fahrenheit) for 2 years straight and that's is not counting the times i used it to go out in the weekends. In conclusion, it's a really great reliable bike, but now i want to upgrade to a bigger bike. Like the Kawasaki ZX-10RR is what i am looking for my next bike. Im keeping the gsxr though.

+David Crockett Did your doing well in the MSF course play a factor in your purchase? Just trying to pick the brains of people who went from MSF to a 600 supersport because that's the route I wanna take. The Gixxers seem the most manageable with the power modes and comfort riders say it has
@AshtonMotana9 жыл бұрын
+Ogre Doug It was the final nail in the coffin for me. My MFS bike was a Honda Shadow, maybe around 250 cc. I think the primary thing for me was becoming familiar with the friction zone as I've not really had too much experience on manuals before. I would suggest getting any super sport as long as you're not timid in a car on the freeway going in and out of traffic at 80. The MSF BCR 1 course talks about counter steering but in their course they don't have you go fast enough to really learn it(maybe where you are they will? I suggest looking for videos regarding counter steering. and get some practice with it. As for comfort, I'm 5'10" at 175 pounds, I can ride this thing for 8 hours a day with a couple stops for food breaks. Don't put all your weight in the bars, not good for comfort or bike handling, just relax.
@hfr83439 жыл бұрын
David Crockett It's hard to find people like you to talk to about it, I wanted to hear a new riders perspective. I'm 6'4 230lbs so I figured I'd fit better on a 600, well that and they look sooo much better than the 250's and 300's. I live in Pa. so I'll have to research what our MSF course entails. I daily an f150 and navigating traffic isn't an issue. I'm 32 so I got a late start on riding as a hobby. Do the power modes make a difference at all. From my research it softens throttle response in B mode. I like all the supersports but the r6 is my favorite. I hear the throttle is very twitchy though
@AshtonMotana9 жыл бұрын
+Ogre Doug Since this is my first bike I can't comment about throttle response. It just feels fast as shit. the boots I wear give me another inch and quarter in height and can already reach the ground both feet planted with regular shoes with half inch souls. I believe you'd have to adjust the suspension sag to fit your weight otherwise you may sink down lower. The way I sit is with my nuts almost on the tank and with your longer torso you may have to sit back further which will may cause you to lean more forward and that might not be comfortable to you (just guessing). Another video I saw with some dude at 6'2" found a R1 a more comfortable ride than his previous R6 due to his size. The videos were something about the uselessness of liter bikes and his height was an argument for their usefulness. You should sit on different size bikes 600 versus 1000 and have someone take pictures of you sitting on them, some guys look too big on some bikes, but then lots of people say you shouldn't start on a 1000. I'd hate for you to buy one and regret it. I haven't really played with the B mode. I tried it for 5 seconds and it did sound like the RPM toned down when switching back and forth.
@hfr83439 жыл бұрын
David Crockett Yeah you make a good point about the size difference, I heard that shorter riders enjoy the gixxer because you can flat foot them easier. When I get some free time I'm gonna take some time to sit on all the japanese 600's. The clip ons on the CBR's are raised up slightly so that may help being taller. Whatever 600 I fit on the best is the one I'll ultimately go with, I don't much care for Kawi's though. I'll use that idea and have someone take a picture of me on them. If I were to ever upgrade to a liter bike I'd for sure get an R1 those are damn good looking bikes. Do you plan to keep your bike for a while or are you going to switch bikes every few years or so?

For a daily rider super sport the GSXR is probably one of the better ones since the ergonomics aren’t as aggressive and the power is a bit more grunty mid range compared to an R6. The GSXR actually makes more power everywhere in the RPM band until only north of like 13,000 rpm where the R6 surpasses it. Also these GSXR’s have aged like fine wine in terms of style

BirdThaWord750 I used to have a 2013 Honda 500R and I got bored in about 2 months. I sold it last May and got a 2010 VFR 1200 and I think that was a big mistake because now I'm looking and test riding 600CC bikes (because I want a sport bike for the streets and no track) and they feel slow to me and not enough torque. 1000CC super-sport is way more than I could ever legally use and I don't really want one but being immune to that power and owning a 1200 doesn't help me pick the best 600cc bike for me because I have no clue how an inline four 600 cc feels like and I don't have anything to compare it to and I can't appreciate going up to a 1000 since I never had a 600cc. Two days ago I was riding a 2009 600rr and it was ok not as fast as I expected after that a Yamaha R1 and it felt plenty of power but way too forward/lean seating position which I didn't like at all. I will try a Honda CBR1000RR and GSXR 750 hopefully next week as well as Kawasaki ZX636R the following week because everyone is talking about it. So, like CycleCruza said on his channel two days ago everyone should own a 600 so they car really appreciate a liter bike. If I had to start over I would get a 600 first for sure!

Your top speed is going to be 160ish depending on your weight and you're never going to accelerate as fast as a 600 supersport, but the insurance is great, the bike is more upright and very comfortable, parts are extremely cheap compared to supersports, and you can get through all the gears and have fun riding.

I have a 2019. I hated the cyclops headlight but it grows on ya. At least if you aren't running brights, people don't tell ya you have a headlight out. Otherwise I feel it's the best 600 out there. Brembo brakes, shift light, slipper, stock damper...I aint a gixxer bro but I love em. They have a weird but great sound and its so planted in the corners if you really ride it

The awesome noise is the induction sound through the air box, not so much the exhaust. My 2007 was the same and I loved it. I love this 2015 color (their MotoGP livery) it's freaking gorgeous for BNG's. I saw them in the showroom and want a new GSXR just bc of the colors, probably a 750 this time.

why is this guy reviewing bikes when he seems to know nothing about them?

***** It's possible. The footpegs are adjustable as is the suspension so the ergos and handling may have been different between bikes.

I hasn't changed since 2011, as well Yoshimura actually designed the stock exhaust.. Growl! As far as the headlight, yes kind of unsightly but it literally project soo much amount of light at night it's crazy.. Even trade off

You can thank the SDTV for the "WAAAAAAAA", shit's so smooth. Plus, it's smaller because of the wheelbase. It has a 15mm smaller WB, due to the swing arm and BPF being moved back to accommodate it. The only real difference to my preference was the newly redesigned shock suspension.

I have never owned a GSX-R, but it's always been a bike I've wanted to own, or at least ride, especially the GSX-R750 which I always hear is the perfect street bike. Currently saving a ton of my money to see if I could scoop one in spring 2024 for less than $7,000. Always had ZX-6R's with my toes dipping into Harley's and naked bikes, but the draw from the GSX--R is strong.

GSX-R are awesome, the 750 is the way to go! great review!!!
@TheGusto699 жыл бұрын
Im amazed you found the 2015 so different form the 2014 considering they are the same bike except graphics. Also the GSX-R 600 is lighter and has more HP than the R6 so it will feel faster everywhere. If you look at dyno curves the GSX-R tops the R6 through the entire rev range, add that to being lighter, it flogs an R6 from rolling start, through mid to top end. Brembos, etc. I hope your R6 is on the market;))

Chaaaasee !!! You forgot the exhaust soundcheck AGAIN !!!! I really really REALLY love these first ride videos, but come on man...I almost cried when you didn't give us a taste of that sweet sounding CBR100RR... And if there is some particular reason why please let us know. I'm sure I'm not the only one craving to hear these beasts. Anyways...Awesome videos, awesome bikes, awesome humour, awesome personality, keep it up !

Good video, just making me nervous always riding in the right lane, I was always taught to be closer to the yellow line for more visibilty, less debris on the road and more of a presence to other vehicles.
