Mitsubishi Pajero Sport review on Auto Expert John Cadogan's website:
www.autoexpert....
Each month I save Australians over $100,000 on new cars. You can, too. Follow my proven, step-by-step process to save thousands on a Mitsubishi Pajero Sport - or any other car, SUV or ute.
I lived with and tested the Mitsubishi Pajero Sport for a total of 10 days. The vehicle was supplied on load by Mitsubishi Motors Australia - no money changed hands, and the views expressed are entirely my own independent assessment of the vehicle - the good, the bad and the ugly.
My reviews are tough: I want you to know the good and the bad in order to make an informed decision about whether or not the Mitsubishi Pajero Sport is right for you.
Who am I, and can you trust me? autoexpert.com....
The Mitsubishi Pajero Sport is an engineering adaptation of the Mitsubishi Triton ute - with a couple of notable inclusions:
1. A coil-sprung rear end
2. An eight speed auto transmission
It has incredible towing capacity and extreme off-road capability - but at the time of evaluation, the Pajero Sport has only 5 seats in a market of competitors that are all 7 seater SUVs. I'm told a 7 seater SUV version is on the way.
The obvious trade-off against all that toughness is refinement: the Mitsubishi Pajero Sport is, after all, built on the fundaments of a pickup. It lacks the luxury features of, say, a Hyundai Santa Fe (details here: www.autoexpert....) or Kia Sorento (details here: www.autoexpert..... I'm talking about features like adaptive cruise control and air conditioned seats. It also lacks the refined ride quality of these two softer SUVs.
On the plus side, the Mitsubishi Pajero Sport can tow loads the other two can't even dream about, and it can go places off road the softer ones can't, either.
