T15 was able to fit a little better at an angle. Also I ground the t15 but down in half. That helped. As far as the motor I took it apart. Cleaned all the grease off of the electric surfaces and put it all back together. Works fine. Lining up the cam and door cam was tedious. The first time I thought I had it because it went to full hot. I didn’t check full cold. It was outside the track. Took it back apart and made sure the cam was inside the cam follower. Works great. Ordered a motor from tasca just in case. Thanks for the how to.

On ours, it's a 2018, but you can watch the cam follower moving freely but it never changes to heat. It was serviced just before the warranty was up and we had heat for about a month. It warmed up here so we didn't use it. We've needed it this year and haven't had it. We dress extra warm and just deal with it. After watching this, I'm going to pull this and check everything myself.

I put a dab of freeze on the screws and they went in slick I used a small Craftsman ratchet wrench that held a t15 bit. Won't let me attach a picture. Thanks for your vidio.

Having a similar issue with my 2016 f150 (manual climate control), only not with the blend door, but with the mode door. Air will only blow thru the dash vents, can't get it to switch to floor or defrost. Was thinking it was the mode door actuator, but I'm also having trouble with the recirc control; won't go into recirculation every time. Kind of odd that both problems started at the same time. It is due for a new battery. Probably not the cause, but I know that low battery voltage can cause electronics to do wonky things. Keep up the good content!

Hey Ford Boss I got a 2017 ford f250 6.2l, came in today no AC and it the same thing i'm having too, the AC compressor is working and the line is ice cold but no cold air coming out the vent, only hot air and there is no fault code, when I return to work I will look into the blend door actuator, thank you again. Pulled the actuator, cracked it open, put a small amount of silicone grease on the gears and a small amount on the cam follower and buttoned it back up. I was called out to a 2020 F550, the shop replaced the Right actuator (single zone) and the door moves just fine, however the position for the right is stuck at 255%! ? This sis an FDRS vehicle and I did run a actuator calibration and also self test on the FCIM (not a good old fashioned hvac module) and it is always stuck at 255% on the scan tool. removing the motor from the case but still plugged in it rotates , however data stuck at 255. I did check & the FCIM is updated to the latest. Any Ideas?

It is much easier if you go ahead and pull carpet or other flooring back and the dust shroud under glove box. It takes no time to do and is really easy to put back. Also move the cam to about . and then turn control to center. New damper goes on easy this way even if you lose your grip. None of these videos tell you these two things

With a.c on i only get cold air out of the driver side vents and hot air out of the passenger vents and rear seat vents . Hey Ford boss, I found this video when I was searching for any videos pertaining to the recirculate fresh air blend door for my 2018 f250. I realize this video doesn't cover the part that I'm looking for but I was wondering if you could point me in the direction to find that particular blend door actuator. I have a suspicion that mine is not working and I know that from other videos I have watched it is a known issue with these blend door actuators malfunctioning. I have a 2016 e450 super duty..no heat from dash vents....i can move the dial to ac and air comes out dash vents. It is hot air because temp dial is on hot. The distribution knob will work when manually moving dial to defrost or in floor position just not dash vents when on. Heat. If it is the air distribution door actuator is this one on left side of dash above gas pedal??

@@FordBossMe i just went out and looked at the dial....it has flr for floor, mix for both flr and defrost and the defrost. If you move itte manual dial to the left past off there is a vent position. Is this for heat or outside air. Because if i move it to this position the i have a blast of hot air constantly. The manual does not state any info about this position on the dial... If this vent position is where you get heat mixed with outside air then i really do n9t have a problem. But if i should get dash hot air on the mix setting and i dont then i have a problem.???

I have a 2017 f350 6.7 w/ dual climate control. The AC only blows from the driver side front. The passenger front and rear vents are blowing hot. I pulled the blend door actuator in your video. I can turn the blend door cam by hand freely but in either direction it doesn’t effect the passenger side and rear vent temps. They still blow hot. If I plug the actuator in but let it hang, if I adjust the dial on the controls the driver side knob will move the actuator but the passenger side does not make it move. I unhooked the neg terminals over night with no change. Is there a different actuator or sensor that controls the passenger side or is there more than one door that’s attached to the actuator that you replaced? I’m desperate for ideas. Thank you for any advice.

Then you may have a broken door inside the housing make sure you're turning the right one and make sure the door isnt broken

Had to replace mine on a 2011 F150 so no this is not a new problem for Ford and it is a PITA. the actuator on mine was in the dash right in the middle of the dash! you could hear the gears in it clicking and not changing from heat to cool.

If you're talking about the door doesn't line up you're going to have to physically move the door itself in the box like take your finger and grab the little plastic piece or break the old actuator and take the little gear out of the inside and stick it inside the door to time it correctly to the new actuator and then after you get it moved where you can slide the new actuator in and get everything lined up and get your bolts started the vehicle will time everything after that

@Ford Boss Me figured it out. Two bad actuators. Recirc door stuck to cabin and vent blend door stuck closed on both first ever ever seen two actuators on two different doors fail. The one for the vents is a pita to get to with the dash in but it's in a f650 and has the lower section with air Guage and parking brake release so screw pulling the dash on this one. Got it rigged up to work for the guy until he gets the proper parts.

@@FordBossMe really, that's your sarcastic answer. I guess I'll spell it out for you. A blend door insinuates it's going to blend two different sources. Does that mean it is the door that diverts or Blends the air from the defroster to the floor to the vents ? Or does It Blend the Heat or AC with ambient air to achieve your desired temperature, as you suggested by saying that you were moving the temperature up and down ? I doubt very much that it does all of the above. So my question is a very reasonable one. It's also not uncommon for someone to miss word their video name and it's also not uncommon for someone to misspeak during the commentary of their video. It was a completely reasonable question, for a situation that is not clear.

Check into the blower motor and the blower motor resistor I mean that's the only place to start if it's not blowing air check the fuses for it check the control panel that commands it turn on when you need it

My 2018 f150 lariat loses all ac air flow eventually after running for 10 minutes. I turn of the ac and then the flow returns then I turn my ac on and it will work again for ten minutes or so. It seems it looses its position like you said.

So I was about to order new Actuator and it shows I have one more on top , do you think both of them got bad ? As I all of a sudden don't have heat in my cabin , right before cold snowy month :(
