how many more would of these would bmw sell if they fixed the looks. It's like they couldn't decide on the style so they did a half half job. Naked version it the same..... Great review as usual!

Thanks James. Looks are hard to rate - but I'm still stuck in the 1990s and reckon my 1995 Blade looks better than most modern bikes!

Hi mate, it is the Race - there are three variations, S 1000 RR, S 1000 RR Sport, S 1000 RR Race. All street versions. The HP4 Race is the trick carbon track one. www.bmwmotorrad.com.au/motorcycles/sport/s-1000-rr/

You might be thinking of the HP4 Race. This is the S 1000 RR 'Race', with the model available in Australia in three forms - standard (S 1000 RR), S 1000 RR Sport, and S 1000 RR Race. The Race version adds a HP Titanium Exhaust System and Forged Wheels compared to the Sport, and also includes Riding Mode Pro, Launch Control, Pit Lane Limiter, and DDC over the base model (all of which are featured on the Sport). You can check out the Australian model availability and specs at: www.bmwmotorrad.com.au/motorcycles/sport/s-1000-rr/ but it will be different in other markets.
