2017 MK7 Volkswagen Golf GTI Sport Review Cars and Comments

I just picked up my 17 GTI sport. It is used has 19,800 miles but it has a down pipe, intake, cat back magnaflow exhaust, Cobb access port, powder coated Nagaros and I got it with a bumper to bumper (5-year 75,000 miles so I am good to almost 100,000 miles) all for $17,000 out the door. I love this little car I am 52 years old and the previous owner was 46 so I am not a boy racer. Look forward to many fun miles in this little bug.

You forgot to mention the some things. The Sport has the lighting package with adaptive Xenon headlamps as well as the PP. The Sport is the only trim level to get the plaid seats and performance/lighting package. Also the Sport deletes the sunroof which, like the R, saves weight. Skip the S because you really need the PP and Xenons in the Sport. I paid $26.4 out the door for my '17 Sport with a manual. With a stage 1 APR tune it puts out more to the wheels than a stock R and is 200 pounds lighter, albeit not awd.

a. Buzz you do get lighting standard on the sport? Not an option? I had a 2010 mk6 GTI..great car.. wish we got the R wagon variant

Good review . I'm also in NH and drive a 16' Volvo V60 Polestar and consider getting a GTI manual for daily driver

Thanks! A MK7 with a stick is rad daily driver but the I do really like those V60 Polestars. The GTIs light weight and manual will probably be more fun around town will still retaining some of that refinement the Polestar has. Thanks for watching and commenting!

Speaking from experience, I wouldn't get the GTI as a daily driver. Fun to drive, but not reliable.

It does indeed. You can stream music and make hands free calls through Bluetooth but your phone must be plugged in to the USB port to use apple car play.
