Min Chang well it is three cylinder so i guess it is like one half of a flat six if you want. Porsches have 2 exhausts so they have 2 times this sound kind of.

Got the same car as you, however the exhaust flap opens and closed when I open the boot and doors??, making a noise when doing so, is this the case on all mk8 St's?

I'd like one but for day to day driving I'm not sure whether an ST line is more appropriate? Or whether comfort mode is more practical for day to day driving and keep sport mode for the B roads!!

Blackwall Studios Keep sport mode for B roads... comfort for the motorway. Perfect daily! (Although you can’t get much in the back of the 3 door...)

MadMonkeyMOW Not as good as the old one 😂 I managed 44 on a 200 mile motorway journey but I had to really concentrate on fuel economy. Day to day where I’m not too concerned about economy, I average between 36 and 38

Depends who you ask.. Personally, I'm not sure there is. Some people believe there is a difference. Perhaps it changes inside the cabin via the 'fake' noise.

@@JBCTR the noise actually isn't fake. It's a sound pipe from the engine bay into cabin.

@@DanielBlaney unfortunately it’s played in through the speakers on the MK8. The MK7 had a resonator box that was piped in to the cabin 👍🏼
