The handling has been massively upgraded too, the new Yaris easily handles country bends at speed while being manoeuvrable during city driving.

Quite well presented. I've been running one of these since 1/9/2017 - almost a year old now, having been manufactured in June 2017 at the Toyota works in Valenciennes, France. As you may know, the reason why the back seat is where it is, is that it has two battery sets and a tank of petrol underneath. It's at it's best in urban areas, although I often use it on longer trips as well. You haven't mentioned the regenerative braking, but that's one of it's best features. it's just a shame that the traction battery is a bit small! One of it's main risks is that it's almost silent at low speed, so in some situations it's wise to use the horn to let people know it's going to move - e.g. supermarket car parks etc.
@AutoStartTest6 жыл бұрын
Hello, thank you very much for your comment. The battery is installed under the seat like in the prius. And yes the battery little bit small.

Thank you for your video and opinion. Just bought one, (1.9.18). One great plus in my opinion is the digital speed readout, that’s when you can find it for like many manuals today much is left to guesswork.

the glove compartment is for the very large manual, and the floor can get to the hight of the folded backseat because you have two floorholders , one on the spare wheel, and one you can put a little bit higher

Bull shitt I am user Toyota car and confirm problem with fuel consumption. Generally my car use same quantity of petrol like another one. Economic fuel usage is dependent of many more details like: 1. Tyres type and pressure inside they, percentage of wear. 2. Damper conditions. 3. Whells geometry. 4. Road technical and wether conditions. 5. Driving technique. 6. Outside temperature. 7. Power and direction of wind. However reality fuel consumption is biggest than shows by board computer. In my car difference is more than 15%. If you are interesting for that, you could be checking that by simply method. You do not need more divace for that. Only need to processing step by step: 1. Fuel petrol to quite full so you can see petrol level. 2. Cancel to 00.00 mpg average fuel consumption counter 3. Cancel to 00.00 miles one daily milage counter. 4. Use your car normally to next fuelling. 5. Fuel petrol same like in point no. 1 above. 6. Reading average fuel consumption. 7. Reading daily milage cleared before. 8. Calculate it. You can use any website for that or calkulate self. Quantity of fuel what you fuelled in point no.5 above convert to gallon.(point no.5 /4.54609188). Now you could divided daily milage from point no. 7 / numbers of gallon calculated before. You have reality mpg and compare it to average fuel consumptionhave read in point no. 6. This is easy. 85mpg it is dream and I did not meet anybody who's car has consumption like Toyota given it in company documents. By my mind it is reality to get in more than ideal conditions for example new car especially prepared on testing station. On the road never for meet this value. It is advertisement and drivers wishes than technical parameters.
@AutoStartTest6 жыл бұрын
Bull shitt is your comment 😂, do you want to know something more? Weather, road conditions, and the driver, someone can't get even 55mpg on prius, I can get 60 mpg in second generation and without any problem 70 mpg in the last one. You have to know how to drive a hybrid cars. Some people do 40 because of the driving style. Best regards
@jaroz686 жыл бұрын
@@AutoStartTest you read and do not understud what you have read. Even 70mpg is not close to documents results. And if you told that road conditions and tyres are not change fuel consumption it is not true. All listed above in first post details made fuel consumption in traditional car. Why they have not influence for hybrids?
@AutoStartTest6 жыл бұрын
Documents results is big scam not just in Toyota, btw I also said about conditions of the road. Why everyone looking for a problem with Toyota Hybrid but don't see the problem with other brands?
@jaroz686 жыл бұрын
@@AutoStartTest I told not about scam, I told about Toyota advertising material. Road conditions is important for all cars, not Toyota only. Materials on top level used do road construction and finishing this layer is very important for economic driving each car. It is so easy, everything have influence for economic driving and so; when we use the same road once dry end next wet, it difference fuel consumption is 8% more on the wet road. This is my private test. However Toyota have wrong calibration board computer and reading it is false. By my test consumption is 15% biggest.

Awful video, as another poster said 'audio commentary is quite unnatural' and I agree 100% - it's almost as bad as text to speech voice-overs. And the car ................ oh dear oh dear oh dear, why oh why do Toyota still insist on designing such bland, boring, cheap plasticky, ugly, unexciting cars - come on Toyota, pull your finger out and get with the programme, this is 2018 and we want something nice to sit in, look at and fun to drive whilst still being economical and having a 5 year warranty!!
