With discounts, you can get into this SUV for around 45K. There is nothing close to that price point with all the options the Edge has except for maybe the new blazer

I drove a lot of things while car shopping, including this, the new RDX and Blazer RS. Neither the Acura nor the Chevy can touch this thing in terms of power or handling. The performance metrics for the 2.0L Audis and BMWs in its price range lag behind it too. There seem to be a lot of haters that haven't even driven it. You won't find something this size that outperforms it for the money. Trust me, I looked.

I have 2018 Sport and I love it. Previous car was a 640i which certainly had the Cool factor and was an awesome car but it also came with Extremely High service cost. Also it was a car that I would never let the dogs into. Dogs are welcome in the sport.

Buy a few years old and save a ton. I just bought a 2017 SHO from the dealer came with a factory extended warranty that covers the drivetrain for up to 100k miles, and the bumper to bumper is good for 2 more years. Paid 23k for the car in mint condition w. just 16k miles on it. That car stickered for 45k when it was new. Unless I hit the lottery, I would never buy new again, even with all the discounts and rebates.

Funny you said it sucks because it holds the gear. My Edge Sport doesn't hold the gear enough and it completely pisses me off that it doesn't. If you have a sport mode it should be a sport mode, it shouldn't be this "Oh I want to go fast but I want high mpg". And it is much quicker then what you said. Also the sound system is amazing and the seats are amazing. I had an owner of a 2018 Volvo XC90 in my car on a holiday trip together (over the weekend) and she said to my wife, "This is basically exactly like mine, except you got a MUCH better deal". There is nothing in the price range with all of features, the speed, the mpg, the size, etc. If you jump to a SRT, way more, if you jump to a Porsche, Volvo, or Merc, that is equipped right you will pay much much more.

Good to see you back. What no gravel washboard test drive? I always thought that segment of your reviews was so unique and extremely telling of a vehicles structural rigidity. To my knowledge your channel was the one and only that did this type of test. I hope you will reconsider for future reviews. I live in an area where there are lots of wash board gravel roads and pot hole ridden pavement. It is a true test of how a vehicle will stand up over time. If the vehicle is rattling, shaking, squeaking and darting around on the road when it is new, what the heck is it going to be like when it has a few thousand miles on it. Maybe this only applies to SUV's and trucks, but I can assure you I have bought new vehicles that were VERY disappointing after driving on the roads where I live after the new vehicle shine has worn off. No matter what you decide, best of luck with your future endeavors.

Great Video Editing and Recording. I skipped through most of it since everything you have said has been said months ago, I think I watched the first review in October and it was almost word for word. Guessing you just review cars and don't really deep dive into the models to learn more so here is some more info for the viewers. This car is MSRP at 52ish but on the dealers lot they are under 45K. Local dealer just sold one loaded with 401A package, 21 inch wheels, brake package $ 44,600.00. Which is allot of money but allot better than 52K. Skip the brake upgrade (which is really a joke it isn't like you get brembo's you get different pads and painted calibers, brushless radiator fan and vented brake shields) and your at 42K which for everything you get now isn't so bad. It won't run down a V8 SUV from Dodge but they don't get 26mph on the highway so you give up something to get something. Wait till the end of 2019 like Nov and any 2019 ST on the lot will sell for 39K because the 2020 ST's will be arriving and they will dump the 2019 cheap.

They say old folks can’t appreciate modern stuff. You make me laugh when you want to hold a shaft for a shift lever. I’ve always had four or six on the floor from my first car back in 1960! When I sole my 2007 ZO6 Corvette last fall, and traded in my 2014 Edge Limited for an Edge ST, it took me a few days to get used to the rotary shift knob. Once it became second nature I realized how handy it is. And as a bonus, when I turn the engine off, the car automatically shifts to Park! How cool is that. The electric parking brake is a handy adjunct. From the Start/Stop button to the rake switch in one easy motion. Stick to your shafts, and be lost to history.
