I am so sacred to have this done as recall. I would pay to hav this guy do it. Respect for his due diligence, shop cleanliness, atension to detail, *care for the customers vehicle* and tools.

I had mine done, it looks terrible the glass is touching the metal on one side and big gap on the other, black finger prints on the headliner and they bent the plastic cowel so its warped now the dealership is having it redone, most of these Ford dealerships outsource their glass work but its Ford's body shop that lets the vehicle out the door and back to the customer

Just got the recall on my 2022 Ranger. Ford says that the urethane was not installed correctly at the factory. I am glad I found this video. I eased my mind. I didn't know the procedure to replace or reseal a window. Seems like it is not too hard as long as you know what you are doing. So thank you very much for putting this video on youtube. I will know what to look for to make sure the tech did the job correctly. Sealing a window is very important. My Truck only has 4400 miles on it. So needless to say I am a little concerned about it.

nice clean install. I especially like the way you cleaned the bed before the glue was cut back. with the new cars you have to recalibrate all new replacements. we are not able to get the w/s back in the exact same place when replaced, so the sensors can be off as little as a degree. they are set you measure out to 500 yards and a degree off could be a foot to 5ft.

Definitely good to take your time on a new vehicle or one you have never done before. I find the Ram and other Mopar windshield wiper arms more often than not are seized on the post. Need a puller and a dead blow to remove them when they are really stuck on there. I've even needed to use a torch as well. Also, I wish more shops used fiber line cutting tools to cut out the windshield.

Id like to see more Dodge truck sliders and Ford back glass cut outs, more slider education cut outs overall. Been installing auto glass since 1994 enjoy your channel. You do a great job but we all know how important time is in this industry. Glue in sliders are my biggest fear these days. Lol!👍🏻

Great training video! I thought maybe you would see if the cameras were working by shifting the gears ⚙️. I never done this kind of work before so what do I know.

Hi Alfredo, I have 2 questions 1. how come you did not do a dry fit since the windscreen is exposed on the top and the sides? 2. when setting the glass, why did you not fit on your own as usual?

Do you recalibrate the ADAS system yourself or do you sublet that to a different shop? Not all small shops can afford the $30k+ in equipment to recalibrate all these new vehicle safety systems. They are becoming very difficult and complicated to work on.
@AlfredosAutoGlassRepairCorona4 жыл бұрын
Tempsho We did the investment and bought OptiAim recalibration system and now we recalibrate in our shop.

Great videos thanks for the time you put into making them. I have a request for a little more detail on the mirror cover and dropping camera down out of the bracket. Sometimes those can be a little frustrating until you have done one. ie. pull down, slide down or down and out, ...etc Also I've seen you use that liquid rain sensor gel rather than the pads, is it just a cost saving strategy or do you like it better. I like to have for emergency

It’s call the WRD Orange Bat. There are a few places where you can buy it. Most glass suppliers sale it.

@Moonface00z5 жыл бұрын
Alfredo's Auto Glass Repair Corona Clearplex have it. Some other makers also It's like a thin sheet of film that protects from stonechip but not rocks though It may reduce the damage
