Ok It is by far the finest car I have owned. We own both lexus and BMW. the ES is a true luxury car and not even close to a Camry. The new Es is based on the new platform and drives , rides and is completely different the Camry. For the money it is a value and given the reliability, it is a value compared to the 5 series, or the A6. It is not a sporty ride like the BMW’s it is a soft, quite and soothing ride! While this will be on the road with 100K miles the German rivals may not be. The infotainment is not all that bad, and the steering wheel controls give you all you need while driving. Good snow tires and winter driving is no issue here in upstate NY. MPG on highway driving is around 33-34 making long trips a joy. Head room suffers with new lowered body, but those under 6’1” are fine. Safety suite is outstanding and with lane keep and reader cruise the car almost drives it self, making long trip less tiring. Lexus reliability and service make this a smart buy.

I have a 2013 ES350 w only 36k miles , Best car ive ever owned. Luxury package with similar 17 inch rims. Love the ride, super smooth... Will keep this for 10+ years !! This interior is a great setup compared to mine and yes closer to the LS level of comfort and design. My trunk is 15 cu ft.. surprised to see this one is now 16.9 cu ft. ! Great review!

My mom just bought her 6th Lexus ES 350 since 2004. She absolutely loves everything about them not one problem with any of them ever. Hers is Atomic Silver with the beautiful orange brown interior. I think this is the better built car but I believe I like the styling of the new Avalon better. Same motor and transmission but the lexus is simply engineered designed and built to a higher standard. Doors close way more solidly in the lexus versus the avalon and it's much quieter. I just like look of the Avalon better. Interior build quality and materials are also better in the ES but again I much prefer the design of the Avalon's interior. Just a personal preference. But them being so close in price I steered her to the Lexus.

I just got one 2019 es350 f sport 10 days ago and there is a vibration (or rattle as people call it) on the driver's door when there is music playing with high bass. I can only hear it outside the car, not inside with the door closed. Please give me your opinion if I should take it to the dealership, I don't know if they'll make it worse or actually fix it.

That's a common problem among all new cars and can usually be remedied at the dealership. If it bothers you then definitely make use of the warranty and get them to fix it

Not quite. The LS very reliable by the standards of high-end luxury cars, but the ES's greater simplicity and proven, bulletproof engine make it more so.

The standard 10 speaker audio system has gotten awful reviews since the car’s release. The main complaint is that most of the audio comes through the front due to poor speaker placement in the new design. What did you think of the sound? Anything abnormal? Thanks in advance! Hi Blake! I didn't notice anything unusual with the audio system. I remember it not being real impressive, but can't say I noticed anything out of the ordinary. Base Lexus audio systems tend to be unexeceptional (in my opinion), I guess to encourage buying the Mark Levinson. Anyways, happy holidays!

I own a Luxury 2019 ES with the 10 speaker system and to be honest the sound, sounds great for the people seating in the front, but I can’t say the same for the back. You can still hear the door speakers and the back speakers, but nothing compared to the sound coming out from the speakers. You can hear sound but very low from the rear speakers.

Julio Martinez Thanks Julio. After listening in the car on the dealer lot, I just bought the same one a few days ago. I think the sound from the base Pioneer system in the front sounds excellent. Don’t really care about the back cause I’ll never be back there, and most sound systems are front biased anyway. Other people are always going to complain about something. Lexus is selling almost 5,000 ES’s a month so obviously there is no defect and some people are just really picky about their music. Hope you love yours as much as I love mine.

Huy Thai I never once “demanded” metal trim on as the buttons but what they could at least do is, add some chrome or painted plastic, Lexus has is Plain and black which looks very cheap there’s more detail in honda switch gear now, like common , and BMW has more genuine trim than Lexus so let’s be comparing to them because they at least cover up the black plastic with some metal trim or painted trim! Your stating things out of proportion , what I said was true i wouldn’t have said it if I didn’t know it was true.

Great review! However German cars will always be better. E class (which I own), A6 and 5 series are superior in every angle inside and out. It’s disturbing that they replaced the GS (which was gorgeous) for this. Shame on them.
