As I was researching the fuel economy for this Lexus, I discovered that Natural Resources Canada classifies this as a passenger car, just the IS or RC, rather than a crossover like the NX or RX. Thought that was something fun to add. Anyways, please enjoy! - Max

The Faux noises is a signature F-Sport (Faux-Sport) thing. Didn't ya know?

I did, but it's never been more noticeable to me than it was in this UX

I'm planning to testdrive the UX250h out here in the U.S. I already tested the UX200 F-Sport and it felt very heavy and underpowered. The UX250h appears to be quicker on paper but the question is does the F-Sport package add too much weight? Lexus should just offer a premium priced F-sport package from the standard UX but with a turbo engine to give consumers a choice between performance and fuel economy...UX200, UXF-250t, and then just do away with the hybrid and introduce an electric UX which would be UX300e (I heard is in talks). Cargo is a downside but it can be equipped with the roof-rails for an optional cargo rack and it looks more sporty/adventurous. Lexus should really start reading the comments from reviewers. I think the only substantial weight gain to an F sport would have to come from the larger rims. I know Lexus often splits fuel economy numbers between normal cars and F sport cars, but I typically have a hard time finding a difference of weight between those two specs

@@maxlandireviews That is good to know. I would think the improved suspension, the rims, etc would just add a little more weight to make it slightly heavier adding to the sluggish performance of the power output (meaning non-F Sport would be the better route and cheaper) but if you claim you don't feel the difference driving wise then that's all I needed to know :). This helps a lot with my decision of moving forward with the UX250h. Thank you so much.

The UX 250h non sport non 4 wheel drive makes good use of its 180 BHP and is much quicker to 60mph that the suggested 8.5 seconds. More like 7 seconds. Acceleration is very smooth and rapid.

Its not small, the A class would be a Picanto or C1. Its clearly a C class which is mid size. Having 180 BHP is a lot for the UK. All reviews are for the F sport which nobody buys. The battery is under the rear seat, it not in the boot. The boot has a wheel well with some box taking up 1/3rd of the space. Then there are two plastic trays above and then the actual boot floor. So at least 6" of wasted height.

Fantastic review! does the F sport have more firm or harder suspension than the non f sport ux? because im deciding between the two and i prefer smooth comfortable ride overall

Lexus always says the F-Sport suspensions are ‘sport-tuned’ but I’ve never been able to really feel a difference

@@maxlandireviews thanks i test drove both non f sport and f sport and could not tell the difference either. so ended up getting f sport cos i love the more dynamic look and comfortable f sport seats so happy didnt have to sacrifice comfort. However completetly seperate point but i did find that the non f sport could stay in electric a lot easier than the f sport model for example i cud very slowly and respectively creep almost to 30pmh in non f sport, in f sport model as soon as i try to go more than 14mph it comes out of electric i think the eco range is a lot better in staying in ev. out of interest did you also find this to be the case? thanks

I don’t get the point of these small subcompact SUVs. For same money I can get a Honda Passport or Jeep Grand Cherokee in luxury or sporty trim, and they have more presence, room, safety. This may be a luxury brand, but it is not a luxury driving characteristic.

CVT awfulness, underpowered engine, fake awd, industries worst user interface, no android auto, and no utility. Hard pass on this junk. This might have worked as a $25k CHR, but not a Lexus
