2020,2021,2022,2023 Hyundai Palisade rotor brake pad replacement Remove tire.Remove 14mm and 17mm bolts. remove a plug on the motor. remove brake housing. remove motor, then rotate the hex clockwise. compress down, then remount the motor. remove 2 screws on the roter. remove roter. clean then install new roter. install brake system.step by step

For those just changing the pads only, you would simply pull the pads out and swap with them with the new ones after removing the caliper. No need to remove that caliper bracket.

Have a current issue with our EPB system that’s causing the calipers to engage and the wheels to lock. Car is inoperable bc of it. Question, if we just remove the EPB plug should that give us the ability to operate the car again? In theory, we should be able to drive it normal and safely since that’s just for the EPB, correct? Thanks.

When I had brake pads and rotors replaced, I forgot to reconnect the plug at the sensor it gave me the error code on the dashboard, but the car was running fine without the epb system

I am seeing videos and my cousin who is a mechanic said you have to connect a scanner to electronic brake before disconnecting it in order not to damage the wiring. It doesn't look like you did that step. Did you forget to show it or did you not do it?

Hum, no we didn't do the service mode to retract the motor, yes the dealer would connect their computer to get in service mode then it would spin the caliper in but we didn't have the computer so we just did what we did to get the caliper off. No damage to wiring. Does your mechanic have the computer? If yes have him use service mode

​@@goautosound1 I think he's referring to putting the parking brake into service mode so it retracts the caliper piston instead of having to do it manually. Have you ever had an issue after pushing the piston back after removing that motor?

@JohnGarcia-gu7yt no all I did was manually turn the motor so we can push the piston in. I think this motor is self adjusted after the engine is running. We had infinity q56 had to do it the same way
