2020 GMC Sierra 6.2L Custom True Duals WITH X PIPE

The "chase" to eliminate the flapping noise from the exhaust starts here. Custom fabricated X pipe added to the true dual exhaust, seems to have fixed the problem. The exhaust seems to be just as loud as before. The front section of the exhaust is 2.5" stainless works components. Mufflers are Thrush Welded 2.5" inlet, 2.5" outlet ( offset / offset ) and a mix of 2.5" aluminized sections that meet the factory resonators.

Sounds pretty good. I have a 19 6.2L. I started with a muffler delete with resonators in place. Still was just alittle too loud. Went to a flowmaster super 44 and resonator delete with quad tips. Both ways sound great, just deeper and slightly quietier with the super 44

Interesting that it is not as loud with the resonators removed. I contemplated removing them but do not want the truck to be too loud. It rattles the garage as it is. Thanks for checking out the video.

Sounds quieter to me but then it's because the X-pipe has made the note smoother as it's converging exhaust streams & cancelling out the choppiness of the V8 note. And I too could hear the flappy noise when the revs fell in your first video, must admit that would've annoyed me too.

Hey, looks like a better welder did the X this time! Can anybody else see the difference? Now I think you have to put the icing on the cake ... lose the resonators to turn up the volume a little more.

Why did you end up keeping the flex joint?

The stock exhaust had one after the front Y pipe, so I went with them for the aftermarket work. I have another video talking about the exhaust work.

Sounds wise, not really but it did fix the fluttering sound in the original video. Performance feels about the same. Truck is quick from the factory but with the exhaust setup, it has to be good for a few HP

Why did you end up adding the x pipe?

@@MyJLV there was a tractor like noise coming from the exhaust. Watch the first exhaust video, I meant it. It can be heard clearly when revving and driving. The X pipe helped with exhaust scavenging ( helps to equalize the exhaust pulses ).

@@GavDetails even though you don’t notice a difference. Do you still recommend adding an x pipe? I am asking because I recently did a dual on mine without adding a crossover.
